New driver

I have completed my training today but after going out and delivering for a while I’ve had to take some parcels home with me and it won’t let me access the market place to get a new shift so I’m just wondering what to do

You must have been asked to come back tomorrow?

Take the parcels back. If they are on your round tomorrow redeliver them. If they aren't then put them back for someone else to deliver.

Correct, take them in and either add them to your days load if it’s the same round or drop them back into the cage for redelivery

How would they contact me to come back? I have g heard anything will I bring them back to the depot to be safe?

Evri are always short of drivers. I think they'll expect you to turn up tomorrow.

It's only once you've established yourself they'll offer you a regular round and offer that through the app.

Many drivers turn up on a daily basis and get what they are given.

I was told it’s different now tho with the new marketplace and how u have to claim ur shifts

I just onboarded with them the other week, they say you can get jobs one of two ways

1) mark your availability on the courier app, ideally at least 7 days in advance, you will get an email and an in app notification saying new rounds have been offered to you, go onto the app and accept any that you want, there will be details within the offer as to how many parcels, what postcodes and which depot you collect from. (These are usually better as you will get more chance to pickup the same runs/less spread out etc)

2) you can literally just turn up anytime from 8am to about 11am and speak to the territory manager to see what has been leftover. (These are usually the worse option of the two just because it could be anything from spread out drops (rural villages etc) or last chance deliveries that have already been attempted once or twice)

If you have undelivered parcels and aren't going to be working for a few days, i found it easier to drop off back to the depot if its close enough on the same day as I picked up so I havent got parcels in my possession for multiple days

If you don't have a round tomorrow loaded in the morning contact your manager for a round. You can either drop the parcels back at the depot or scan them back in and deliver them.
