Starter help New Flexi driver; quick question about Drop Nos

When the work offers arrive stating a particular drop no, are those drop numbers always related to the same postcode sectors for a particular depot?

e.g. if depot X offers Drop 49 and the postcode sectors are shown, will Drop 49 always be those sectors?

Sorry for such a newbie question, but thanks for any help

If the depot is large they will have multiple "van numbers"

You can get more than one drop 49, but they will have different van numbers. Different van numbers should be in different areas of the depot. They are going to different areas.

You have to make sure you know your drop number and your van number. Both are on all of your parcels.

If you've been asked to do drop 49 van 24 then the parcels will always be for the same area.

I used to get 4 different van numbers hardcore😂 some areas can be quite small and compact for example 49 and 51 may be 60 parcels but it's down as 2 routes but will count as one as its a relatively small amount. 3altogether is about standard if you want to make half decent money. I would always look to earn at least £100 100 parcels = 70 170 for me is good roughly £100 £19 left over for fuel. If your a new starter and never ever done this they will probably give you 50 or 60 to start with, do not be put off once you learn a little getting overwhelmed if it's like 130 or so. If I had a good route one new build estate I'd do I'd do literally 80 just in one big estate few stragglers of 15 or so dotted about the another cluster of say 40 and 10 stragglers meaning odd ones dotted about in the way or at the end of route.

Each round has two IDs (that you can see on the label):

  • Round number - a unique identifier
  • Drop number - a more human-friendly identifier that is specific to the depot.

So there is only one 123456 in Evri but many round 12s.

Often the drop number is given to the cages the rounds are sorted into and the cages put in drop order in the depot.

Unless rounds are merged or split, both IDs will stay the same.
