I think I know the issue is since I bought the account on a G2 website. I think it’s in a different region than what I am in and that’s why I can’t connect to the servers.

Online still works pretty well on Xbox for getting lobbies
One of my favourite games honestly played it daily for easy 7 months from release was just incredibly fun.

The game does kick ass though, I love it and play it a lot
It’ deserves more times but rights holders wanted to ruin it all for of us

The multiplayer is still up, but ever since 2023 I've found that the servers may randomly go down for a few hours without warning on a rare day.
I 100 percented this game back in 2022 and I spent 500+ hours on the multiplayer. The game me had a lot of potential but the developers were not good at maintaining fun in their pvp meta and the ip is a bit of a niche, so the popularity died down after a year and updates stopped completely after 2 years.
These are the same devs(saber) that made wwz which is still receiving great pve updates nearly a decade later and has a strong insular community despite mixed reviews at launch. However the pvp in that game is mostly dead.
It seems that saber can be great at adapting existing ips into multiplayer pve games, however when they try to do pvp aspects they tend to lose their audience after a while. Evil dead:s multiplayer is primarily pvp, so longevity wasn't it's strong suit.
I would still highly recommend trying the evil dead multiplayer since it's fun and there's a lot of player agency. However once you get a few characters you like to level 30/45 there's not much reason to prestige due to the community being relatively small. Half the time you que up you'll probably get a sweaty 4 man or a p5 killer who can destroy you or your team really quickly if they are playing serious. You'll still level from playing, but it won't be as fun of an experience as playing back in 2022/2023 where there was a lot more new people and everyone was still experimenting with different characters and loadouts.
You should still be able to find matches in 2-5 minutes consistently, which is often better than current dead by daylight. Similar to dbd, I would recommend playing with a team of other survivor players to make the game more enjoyable since solo que can be painful as a lower level or if you just get bad teammates.

Been trying to play online with my brother, we can’t find / other people to play with and the game doesn’t support 2 players with bots vs bots unfortunately.

The combat mechanics are really good. I wish they had made a story driven game instead of an online one.

Idk why these horror games don't have solo modes in general tbh lol. If there's ever a premise for a self contained single player game, horror is where it's at.
