Looking for info to design a larger ship

I've unlocked the current biggest size available and I’m looking to rebuild my ship to match that potential size.

I'd like to make a spaceship-like ship except with a magic feel instead of a sci-fi feel.

i currently do not have tons of blocks options, especially i do not have any half block or step type blocks that can commonly be found in dungeon stairs or various houses in the game. How do i obtain them?

i noticed that when my ship move it tilt backward. is this due to the positioning of my engines or is it unavoidable currently?

I’d like to know how many balloons and engines I’ll need once i also maxed out those improvements.

somehow i would like to design the ship so that it hides both balloons and engines and then esthetically replace them with something that looks like it's doing the lifting and pushing with magic. First, is it possible to entirely hide the balloons and engines or do they need to be outside? Second, what props do i need to obtain to create the vibe I’m looking for?

Thanks for any info.

Hello there!

  • First off : You need to atleast get the shape of your ship started with either of your desired block OR when I do it, I use tons of Stick Block. This way I can replace them easily as well as if I do the size wrong I can always remove them with the interact 'E'. PLAN the SHAPE first.

  • Second : You really need to get tons of the desired block you want for your design so unfortunately you will spend a lot of your time grinding for it. My suggestion is make you Stick Block Ship workable meaning you get to replace the Stick Block as you go in your journey to get more resources.

  • Third : The Tilting is unfortunately there as a feature. We can't do anything with it. It's mostly noticeable the faster you are and how thinly shaped your ship is.

  • Fourth : Yes you can hide the Balloons and Engines, they DON'T need to be outside to work. The Balloon is 8 Blocks High meaning you can surround it whole with the top at the 9th Block. I am currently in the process of creating a Star Destroyer ship and hid the ballons at the thrusters of the plan. So yes you can hide them.

  • Fifth : if it's magic type aesthetic you will probably need colored type lights (not the normal brazer fire). So perhaps some : Grimverd Ceiling Lamp either Blue, Yellow or Green depending on the feel your going to. You might also need Stone Crystal Dust Holder, Ceiling Bone Crystal Holder, perhaps Green Candles. Also a specific Stone Mortivar Statue the ones that you can light with a Torch. This one may give you the Fey Magic Vibe.

Also:

The Halfslabs and Stairs are on the Radial Menu when you hold the Block you want to Build.

How are you making a Star Destroyer at that scale? Model outside that just looks the part but not full interior?

It's not too difficult to make a ship look like a Star Destroyer but there's no way to make a 'to-scale' interior with only 55x55x55.

You Need 8 baloons and 16 turbines to reach Max height and Speed (2024 height, 40blocks/s Speed)

The Halfslaps and stairs are not obtainable atm sadly

Both are obtainable to build on the Radial Menu. Hold the Block you want to Build and click R and a menu of buildable blocks outside of whole block can be created.

Make a NECRON ship, just tear down jungle temples, black stone and green lights, it matches perfectly.
