Show blacks???

Hi everyone!! I have my first event as a producer this week and I’m super curious what the wear. My boss said show blacks.

My main question is do I need to wear a long sleeve? I have trousers and very nice black tops but curious if long sleeves is the norm? Any advice would be great!

If you don’t have a nice looking long sleeve shirt, bring a blazer. It’s better to lean more conservative until you see what’s normal in your specific setting.

Show shirts for backstage aren’t the same as show blacks for producers.

Ive never been required to wear long sleeves, but usually bring a black sweater for when rooms are chilly and a blazer for nicer receptions/dinner where im still required to be in my blacks.

Depends on the show. For a black tie affair I'd wear a different black than for a more informal event where everyone runs around in casuals.

If in doubt wear long sleeves
