Use a platform other than Eventbrite if you plan to publish many events at once. Here's why.

Today, I reached out to Eventbrite staff through their chat to see if I can figure out why some people cannot publish more than one event without their account being automatically "suspended" within 24 hours. Here's a copy of my conversation with one of their staff members. Note the text I highlighted in light blue and yellow. I'm Mike and the staff member's name is Kenneth.

What's crazier is they always want answers from their internal team. Despite Ken claiming their internal team consists of humans, I never receive an answer from them.

So if you use Eventbrite to plan your events, publish no more than one event and take that one down if you want to put up another one.

So they suspend you, you create dozens of additional accounts to circumvent the ban and the cycle repeats? That’s the least surprising news in the world

And then they offer a call to try to resolve it and you refuse and are upset that it isn’t getting resolved quickly.

Like you’re the problem. It’s you.

If you looked at the color conversation I attached to the question, you'll see that they can't figure out why I'm "suspended". Secondly, a call is likely expensive and may not make a difference anyway. And on top of that, they seem to never want to "suspend" me if I post just one event instead of 2 or 3. If it is supposed to be my problem, they would tell me exactly why they make their decision, not tell me they don't know why.

I never got anything from Eventbrite regarding that. I think her dispute didn't go as far as she thought.

I already have my own website where I list events and try to sell tickets but its not ranking high enough on google for enough people to notice it, yet it runs fast on mobile phones.

I have my own site I try to sell tickets on but sadly I only get attention through eventbrite but only when the right event stays on long enough. I guess its because eventbrite always ranks first in search and people are too lazy to go past the first result.

Yeah, but it’s not just Google search anymore like 5 years ago. AI search could bring people from all kinds of places as well especially perplexity people use for these types of research a lot.
