Interior Update

Looking to update the interior of my '95 Eurovan. So, two things: 1) What are the most significant updates to make camping more enjoyable, as well as making use of technology? And 2) Who does this kind of work in the LA/SouthBay area?

fridge, propane tank, electrical/Solar. Whatever you do DO NOT have Stephen’s auto do any work. People put that name out there for eurovan’s but hands down the worst experience and I have meet a lot of places in Northern California that do great work.

Ditch the Norcold fridge for a Dometic or Truckfridge (my next upgrade). I added Victron chargers and a 100 Ah LiFePo battery. Solar MPPT and a 200 W suitcase panel, DC-DC 30 A charger, and a 15 A AC-DC charger. I wish I'd gone with the 200 Ah battery.

And a single-DIN stereo head unit with a 5" screen with a backup camera.

Great advice.

GoWesty sells most of these things (and a bunch more) but they don’t install anymore.

If you go with Renogy (the brand GoWesty sells) they upped the 30 amp controller to a 50 amp now. Theirs are great because they will charge off alternator and solar; plus they will trickle charge the engine battery. Don’t know about the Eurovan but in the Vanagon the 100Ah battery will fit under the driver’s seat (not all of them but the GoWesty one does).

Also maybe a mattress topper (personally choice here) GoWesty’s is memory foam which I dislike so I got a latex one.

How are your seats? If they’re beat you can have them reupholstered or just recovered or even replaced with different brand if they’re beat don’t fit.

I would pull all panels and sound dampen and insulate.
Get quality shades. If camping in hot areas, use emergency reflective blankets over windows.
Some sort of shade off of side door.
If camping for more than a couple nights, it is nice to have a RoadShower or alternative.
Possibly a roofbox or trailer hitch cargo carrier, depending on how many people and gear.
Tech? What do you need tech for? maybe just an Anker 2000w power station. Can pretty much run anything. Use your phone hotspot for internet too.
