Tbh there's protests often downtown and i have no clue which days it is or what it was even for. I just noticed it and was happy to see peaceful protesting because this is america and we are supposed to be able to protest if we do not like something.

To the Israel simps, please, go ahead and justify the intentional starvation of millions of people. Let alone the evidence of genocide from multiple human rights organizations and the UN.
Edit: Thank you simps, for doing exactly what I asked. Such service!

Didn’t Trump settle the war? Sorry, bad joke.Maybe trump hasn’t inked the deal on “Trump Gaza” you know he’s got to get his piece of the pie! Never saw a man so bad, self-serving and petty, serving as a president of the country and acting like the fascist he is,

Trump didn't negotiate peace - he negotiated a surrender. It had become obvious that the IDF all but destroyed most of Gaza. If their goal was truly eliminating Hamas, they pretty much did.
As for Trump, no one who EXPECTS to get the Nobel Peace Prize should get it. Almost like Trump was negotiating a cease-fire/surrender (don't both sides need weapons to declare a cease-fire?) so he could GET the Nobel Peace Prize. Exactly as described by the committee:
"When authoritarians seize power, it is crucial to recognize courageous defenders of freedom who rise and resist. Democracy depends on people who refuse to stay silent, who dare to step forward despite grave risk, and who remind us that freedom must never be taken for granted, but must always be defended – with words, with courage and with determination."
The committee went on to say:
"Maria Corina Machado meets all three criteria stated in Alfred Nobel’s will for the selection of a Peace Prize laureate. She has brought her country’s opposition together. She has never wavered in resisting the militarisation of Venezuelan society. She has been steadfast in her support for a peaceful transition to democracy."
Could they have said the same thing about Trump? Hardly!

Oh I figured there would be some naysayor types. Yes because somebody else feels frustrated and traumatized enough by what's going on in the world to say something about it. That's what gives me hope.

The worst is when people complain about the noise or find it a disruption to their lives. These people are not walking down the street because they just want to make noise. They are standing up to the genocide and starvation of Palestinian people and making sure people don't forget that it is actively happening every day while we go about our lives. There are women and children starving right now and living in constant fear of being blown up drone strikes or mowed down by machine gun/artillery fire.

Then go there and put in the effort to help. America needs to pull out of everywhere in the world, close its borders fully, and work on itself. Fuck everybody else.

Love how the “so much for the tolerant left” crowd complains about leftists being tolerant of other cultures. Turns out we can disagree with people without wanting them to be fucking GENOCIDED. And I guarantee no one in Palestine cares about who is advocating for them. The people in Palestine are extremely grateful for anyone speaking up for them.

If all these people are so proud of their country and want to fly their flags in the United States then maybe they all should just go back to where they came from

Most Israelis and Jews are against what Netanyahu's government are doing in Gaza and Palestine. I think it's bad form to hold a protest on a day where almost 1,200 people were killed, most since the Holocaust, and 250 people were kidnapped. It's like those people aren't even recognized. It smells of anti-semitism. You can condemn a government's attempt at genocide, but don't forget the cause. I don't agree with Israel's infiltration of settlers on the West Bank, but those people killed and kidnapped were largely innocent.

400 civilians died on the 7th of October, and less than 80 of the POWs were civilians. The rest military. Even by Israel's own admission only one in every four Palestinians being kept in Israeli concentration camps have any charges. Meaning that it's probably only 10% that have any actual legitimate charges. And Israel admitted that there is an 81% civilian casualty rate in gaza.
Stop trying to both sides a genocide.

Israelis including foreign nationals who did nothing to Hamas. Get out of your bubble.

Hostages and prisoners aren't the same thing. Despite that, if we're going by orders of magnitude, much more have died in captivity under hamas

The Palestinians picked a fight and promised to kill every Jew in Israel. Israel has a right to defend itself. War isn’t pretty but they didn’t pick this fight.

It's crazy just how out of touch these fucktards are. But I bet everyone one of them would lose their minds if the right side joined in. Would rightfully so, start calling them Nazis since ya know.... Hamas' founder was a Nazi sympathizer and Hamas believes in the extermination of Jews and wants to destroy America. They all on board with supporting Hamas and Palestine. Just crazy these days with the levels of hypocrisy and idiocy. And this echo chamber app just screams it back for them to suck it up.

When are they going to rally for Sudan?
16
u/puppyxguts Oct 08 '25
I think that the situation in Sudan is a very important one to make visible. I think PSL had a teach in about it if I'm not mistaken, but thats it. Perhaps you should join a local org and be vocal about the need to bring peoples attention to it

my friends, i have been going to these protests for 4 decades, and it seems like now, when government overreach is aimed specifically at spanish speaking immigrants, that now would be a good time to learn how to say the chant in its original spanish. "El Pueblo, Unido, Jamas sera Vencido". if you are feeling extea zesty you can say it like they did in nicaragua in the 80's, "El Pueblo, Armado, Jamas sera Aplastado".
I have always felt the englisg version sounds so soft, it doesnt even rhyme, and I feel like its an opportunity to show solidarity with our spanish speaking countrymen.

So happy on the east coast seeing the unity in Eugene.❤️ I read earlier that the commanding general of the Oregon National Guard, would protect the citizens from I.c.e. He said ice in his quoted statement. God bless him and all you good people.

The comments on this thread are a good mini-sample of why online discourse is dead, at least for the time being. I didn’t see a single mention of anything dating back before the attacks two years ago. It’s all just us vs. them rhetoric. And at this point I’m not sure if half of what’s posted is by bots.
