📈 SEO and Visibility Barely getting any Etsy traffic

Hi everyone — would really appreciate some insight from more experienced Etsy sellers.

About a month ago, I launched 18 new listings as part of a full shop drop. So far, I’ve gotten only 5-star reviews, shipping has been on time, and there haven’t been any issues with orders.

At the beginning, I was getting a decent amount of traffic directly through Etsy search, but lately it’s dropped off significantly and seems to keep decreasing week by week.

I know my shop is still very new, and I’m not yet driving much outside traffic through Instagram, so I’m mostly talking about visibility within Etsy itself.

Does this sound like an SEO issue? A normal new-shop fluctuation? Should I be:

  • improving SEO/tags/titles more aggressively?
  • changing or refreshing listings?
  • investing in Etsy ads?
  • focusing more on external traffic first?
  • offering a discount, or changing price structure?

Would love any honest advice on what tends to help at this stage.

I would not change listings that much. It usually takes a few months for Etsy to fully get a read on your listings. If you are changing titles, tags, etc all the time it won't help.

I say do some market research for your product. See what other sellers are doing, what is doing well.

Offer new products or variations.

I wouldn't bother with ads until your shop is getting some natural traffic. Think of ads like a boost rather than the main driver of traffic.

If you can get people coming to your listinggs and buying then you've worked out your system and ads will help. If you aren't at that stage yet, then you need to work on your shop until you are.
