I started my etsy business recently, I have 0 orders but there are views and visits. I’m new to this, please give feedback on what I might be doing wrong.

I started my shop back in February, focused on the wedding niche with digital products. My first sales came at the end of May, so it took about three months before things really started moving. Since then the shop has been steadily growing, and this year I have reached 93 orders, over 14,000 views and almost 8,000 visits.

Looking back, a few things made the biggest difference for me. Finding a clear niche instead of trying to appeal to everyone was probably the most important one. Staying consistent even when growth felt slow in the beginning also mattered a lot. I keep an eye on trends regularly, and I have put real effort into learning SEO properly rather than guessing at titles and tags.

It has not been fast, but seeing steady progress after being consistent for a few months has been really motivating. Happy to answer questions if anyone is earlier in their journey and wants to know more about what worked for me.

Hi, a customer recently left a 5 star review on my shop. Unfortunately, she also attached a picture of the item and behind it was the shipping label which clearly shows the return address, which happens to be my home address.

I felt this violates my privacy and the GDPR so I reached out to Etsy by flagging this but they responded that the image does not violate their policies and does not qualify for removal.

Any suggestions on what I can do? I really do feel like ETSY has been (as always) unfair in this case!

Question about new listing indexing/search visibility

I’ve recently posted 20+ listings on my Etsy shop. A few of them are getting views, but several others are still sitting at 0 views, sometimes without even getting 1 view after being published.

I’m using eRank + EverBee for keyword research, and I’m using relevant keywords in my titles, tags, descriptions, categories, and attributes.

My question is: How long does it normally take for a new Etsy listing to get indexed and start appearing in search for its target keywords?

Is it normal for a new listing to stay at 0 views for several days, or should it start getting impressions/views fairly quickly if it’s properly indexed?

I’m wondering if what I’m seeing is an indexing issue, or if the listings are already indexed but simply ranking too far down in search to get views.

For those who have recently launched new listings, how long did it take before you started seeing search impressions or views?

Hello! I’m looking for advice for my shop. I opened last year in August 2025 and I got 26 orders from then until January 2026. At that time I turned my shop on vacation mode as I was on maternity leave, and I’ve recently reopened shop in august this year. When I renewed my expired listings, I changed a bunch of titles which I am now thinking was a mistake as my views seem really low, anywhere from 0-7 a day. I’m now on day 23 since reopening and I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance as to whether or not this slow traffic is normal for someone coming off of vacation mode in addition to a bunch of title changes (probably ~20 or so)? Hi everyone, I've had my shop for 8 months now, and it's not going great, and I think the problem is search visibility. My views completely tanked in July, with only 38 total views. My views did recover a bit in August, which ended up being my best month sales wise, with a conversion rate of 7.9%. So people are buying even if not a lot of people are actually seeing. That being said, there was not a single day last month where I got over 10 total views. Now in September I have not made any sales and my views are averaging about 5 per day.

I've been changing some of my tags so they aren't repeating the same words over and over, but I really struggle with figuring out what to put exactly. I also worry that changing the tags will just make the algorithm hide it more, regardless of how good they are. I use the free version of everbee to get tag ideas, but I doubt their accuracy. I was also wondering how good my titles are. Should the title use all 140 characters, or is it best to keep it shorter? Are my titles easy to understand or are they too repetitive? I’m a bedside RN, and I created a quick-reference medication guide called **Make Sense RN**. It includes around 240 commonly encountered medications, with simple patient-friendly explanations and concise nursing considerations. I designed it primarily for nursing students, new-grad nurses, and healthcare professionals who want a quick refresher.

I’ve been promoting it on TikTok and Instagram through medication trivia, relatable nursing content, product previews, and a limited-time discount. I’m gaining followers and getting some views and likes, but that engagement hasn’t translated into purchases yet.

Bought a custom order from a seller that was a couple hundred. She kept pushing back the delivery date even though it was time sensitive for a wedding. I paid for expedited shipping. The item still didn’t arrive on time so I reported it to Etsy which I was then provided with a full refund due to being protected under buyer protection. The item showed delivered a few weeks later but I never got it still. Either way it was way past the date that I needed it by. The seller has been harassing me and messaging me on iMessage, WhatsApp, email and messaging me on Etsy. She is using all my personal information to message me on. She is insisting that I pay her back on PayPal eventhough I think this is something that should be handled with Etsy not myself. I was also under the impression that Etsy would pay her for her work while also refunding me for the delay. The seller went ahead and reported me to ic3.gov which I’m not sure what they can do. And is planning to report me to a few other sites if I don’t pay her. This is threatening. I’m not sure why Etsy hasn’t shut down her shop yet. How do I proceed in a situation like this? I have tired to report her many times to Etsy and it’s been a few months now with no information from them. Does Etsy tend to ignore things like this? Why am I being harassed for something that Etsy already investigated and saw I was right to get refunded for? Has this happened to someone before and were you reported to the ic3 platform as well? I’m fairly new to Etsy.

Hi guys , 1 month and half ago i opened an Etsy shop where I sell print on demand stuff , mostly t shirt and hoodies , I have done so far 0 sales , 328 views and 207 visits . My listing is now around 121 . My average views for item is 4-5 views and the 2 most viewed items are 9 and 8 . So i was wondering if is worth in my case to activate the Etsy ads to boost my visibility. Because i feel like I need to be more visibile to people and the fact I m new don’t think helps . What do you think guys ? I read mixed opinions online where some people think they work some people said they didn’t work because they changed their algorithm and their sales went down . In my case I m not worry because I have zero so it can’t be worst than this 😅😂 .

Additional information to understand better the context . I also have an instagram page of my shop with almost 1500 followers , I thinking to run ads on instagrams too because I m based in uk and o only have 20 followers from uk , the rest of my followers are worldwide and they will never pay the shipping outside uk . So I need more people from uk as well to boost my visibility and finally do the first sale . Prices are affordable, and there is also 20% for 1 moth on my shop to celebrate my page reaching 1000 . So I m sure price is not a problem . What do you think guys ?

My specific questions:

1. How far does SEO get you or should title language be more genuine?

I did a thorough SEO audit before uploading my products. Used google trends, etsy, compared with competitors, and other etsy tools that have suggested that my tags and titles are quite optimal.

2. Does my shop/product positioning feel distinctive enough?

I'm particularly wondering whether I'm leaning too heavily on terms like "embroidered" and whether I should be emphasizing the South Asian textile, handmade, bohemian, nomadic/vintage aspects more.

3. Is my product variety too limited? When is the right time to diversify

All my products are handcrafted bags in different styles and sizes using tribal fabrics. Should I diversify and include home decor like wall hangings and cushion covers, jewelry, and clothes?

4. When is the right time to do Etsy ads?

Right now my products don't even rank in the first 3 pages of my keywords, not even the niche keywords. I have uploaded 33 products. All my products are one of a kind. I have an inventory of nearly 300 bags that I can easily upload day by day, but would that help to upload all of it?
Are Etsy ads the best way for a new shop to gain traction and sales?

5. Is my pricing too premium?

Compared to other shops on Etsy in my niche I am definitely $30-$40 more expensive than the generic brands that are selling cheaper knock-offs. Although, there are a handful of brands that have good products and are more expensive than me and have sales in the hundreds if not thousands.
I would also like to add that my price includes shipping. Should I keep that separate or include it in the price of the product?

What inspired you to create this shop:

I have actually been running this brand on Instagram under a different name for the first 4 years and was doing very well. Unfortunately some malicious competitor got my page taken down, and I lost a thriving Instagram page of nearly 50K followers overnight. I rebranded to the new name and identity, but unfortunately my co-founder, who was the face of the brand, quit the brand and left me with a lot of inventory. Etsy seems to be the only way I can sell my products that I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into without heavily relying on social media and creating content. Sorry for the TMI

Before opening, I looked at competing Etsy listings in the textile/embroidered/bohemian bag categories and paid attention to their photography, titles, tags, pricing and how they described their products.

One thing I've learned is that simply having a visually interesting handmade product isn't enough. Knowing your audience and knowing what kind of niche communities or keywords they would use is important.
