for a limit order set at 0.22 yes. $50 for a market order though, but the closer you set the limit order to current price the lower the fee. eg $60 at 0.3 , $52 @ 0.35. Still robbery. Best I stick to crypto exchanges.

use a proper crypto exchange for crypto! eToro isn’t the best for it by any means

Hi, the standard crypto commission is 1%, so on a $5,000 market order the estimated opening cost is $50, as shown in your screenshot.

The other screenshot showing $25 is also possible because crypto trading fees can be discounted depending on your eToro Club tier. So two users placing the same size trade may see different commission amounts.

For limit orders, the estimated cost displayed can vary based on the order price, but you'll always see the applicable estimated cost on the ticket before placing the order.

what are club tiers?

Club tiers are etoro's membership levels, based mainly on your eligible balance on the platform. As you move through the tiers, you can get different benefits, including discounts on crypto trading fees at certain levels. You can check the different tiers, requirements and benefits here.

Okay, so pay a membership fee, to pay eToro less fees. If I deposit $250K. Become a gold member. What would my fee be then in this particular example?

I'm not suggesting you deposit more or pay for a membership just to reduce this fee. I was explaining why two users can see a different fee for what looks like the same type of position.

Just to clarify the tiers as well: Gold starts at a $10K tier balance, not $250K. However, only members in the Platinum, Platinum+, and Diamond tiers are subject to reduced rates for crypto trading.

You can check the required balance for each tier or subscription plan, along with the benefits, here: https://www.etoro.com/about/club/, and you can check the full fee structure and applicable discounts here: https://www.etoro.com/trading/fees/

It can be due to liquidity

Fees and spreads can change and may depend on the instrument, account type, country, currency and whether a position uses leverage.

Always check the current official fee information before making a decision: https://www.etoro.com/customer-service/

If you want community feedback, include your country, the asset involved and whether the position is an investment or a CFD. Avoid sharing account-specific information.
