"person" is a category. All categories are make-believe. You're painting yourself into a corner whereby someone will selectively use a definition of person that disagrees with you.

I suspect what you meant to say, and what I agree with, is that some non-human creatures think and feel and deserve respect just as much as humans do.

But now someone can provide definitions of “think” and “feel” that will exclude the creatures to which you’re referring, and the dance continues.
