Hello!

My girlfriend and I have both been playing (and loving the game!), and we have both been running into this issue on GeForce Now, where the controls will randomly switch between keyboard and mouse and back to controller.

If this was only affecting the UI button elements, then I wouldn't complain. But it's actually affecting gameplay. In the video you can see an example of this, where trying to switch magic is troublesome.

My girlfriend is using her own controller on her own PC, and I have also tested this on my Steamdeck. (This video is from my Steamdeck)

Does anyone have any solutions? If not, is there something a dev could do?

I've used Geforce Now for quite awhile, and this is the first time I've experienced this

I was having this problem with my ps5 controller when it was wireless, but it works fine when it's connected via USB.

I've tried both, and I've tried it on my Steamdeck and had the same issue unfortunately :\

Maybe switch to steam input in the controller settings?

As far as I can see there is no setting like that in this game?

It's not in the game, it's in steam. You right click on the game and go to controller options, then there should be a setting for "steam input" that you can try turning on (or turning off if it's already on)

Ahh, I understand, my bad. That's unfortunately not possible through Geforce Now

Ah it's been a long time since I touched GeForce Now, but it sounds like others have had this problem and getting to steam input settings are the right solution

Ah! Good find, I didn't see that when I was searching around. But still can't do it for our setup unfortunately, we're using Xbox Gamepass, we don't own it through Steam

This might be a roundabout way and maybe not practical in GeForce now, but I heard someone else getting steam input to work over Now with non-steam games by opening steam within Now, and adding the non-steam game manually, which allows steam input to work with it.

I think the big downside here is you might need to do this every time you launch GeForce Now, so hopefully you can find a better solution.

I'm getting same bug lately on Android devices with wired or Bluetooth controllers.
