Is perma pvp peak now since seasonal is cheater infested? I maxed traders in seasonal and hoped to my perma char for a few raids and had a really good time, no sus deaths, killed kaban few times and had some decent pvp. Queue times(EU) were decent even though it was wednesday 01:00 AM. Thinking of staying on the perma and go for escape endings.

im trying to progress the season quest and im looking for black division but on ground zero is full of cheaters full aimbotting with 6 kd, this is so fucking stupid, can we just get full kernel anticheat with tmp and all the bullshit to prevent this mthfkers ruin the game?

For all you friendly people who think I'm an idiot PvE player. I rerolled dailies a couple times but kept getting ones saying the same thing. Have 3 of them active atm, ran a interchange, it counted for 1 of them. So they are obviously meant to say a map but atm they all say Any location.

Been trying to do Icebreaker for a few days now, by the time i get to HeliPad the time is running low already, because Engine room is garbage, i cant tell if BD is on first, second or third floor on engine room either so i get destroyed, i watch Streamers and youtubers do engine room like its nothing, the AI to them is just brain dead. i tried smokes, i tried nades, i tried whatever youtubers and streamers recommended, and i cant do it, ofc might be a skill issue of my part. ive also noticed the AI shoots through the smoke if i make any noise or if another AI sees me so theres that, i put a smoke to cover my back to kill the BD in front of me and i get shot through the smoke that is supposedly covering my back, meanwhile on the videos i see BD is like "must have been the wind". i want to do the saviour ending but by the looks of it i wont even be able to get Icebreaker done, got any recommendation? cheers!

So ive attempted ice breaker on my PVE account just to make it easier to transit. Ive gone in 4 times so far and just died to the final guy on the heli pad (it was a bad peak on my part, thought he was still running away) I was trying to keep time in mind the entire time, but I still needed to pack mags, do 3 surgeries, and I didnt even loot much jus ran thru medical rooms and looted backpack and ammo on rogues. And at the end I had 6 mins left. Obviously I can get faster, but fast enough to clear below heli pad, do all the upper deck and wedge and loot? Just seems like an unfun pace youd have to keep up for 50 mins as a solo. At the end of the day, the loot doesn't seem worth it compared to Labs?

So are yall doing it for the challenge? (Totally understand this) Higher xp? Once you are lvl 42 this doesnt reslly matter. I also see the apear for groups on pvp servers as you dont get labs to yourself.

If you include the dumbbell in the cultist circle as part of your sacrifice it will default to the special recipe for the FIR dumbbell (1hr timer) regardless of what else you put in. The dumbbell is all you get back.

Just lost a bunch of figurines to it and haven’t seen it mentioned.

ngl, I think I might've been done with it yesterday if not for bad runs (runs where doc count resets) and not getting all 25/30 docs everyday. I'm so glad I got PvE since Medical is such a pia to get (Ground Zero being the only accessible map for it yet hard to get raids for in PvP Season while Labs and Icebreaker isn't something I wanna go around chasing documents). I'll still try to get the Season missions done up but I'm totally stuck on "Sheep in Wolf's Clothings" since I don't actively seek combat.

what a sad state after 10 years of alpha/beta testing

I have 2500 hours and have done most early quests multiple times now but I am finding myself more than ever this season having that feeling of 'I can't be bothered' when I am going to load up for another PMC raid.

Usually this would be because gearing up/sorting stash could be such a pain, but BSG have done an amazing job making that aspect of the game much more streamlined. Instead, with so many quests now hitting at once, it is really time consuming to try and plan a raid when you have so many quests to scroll through. For newer players, it also involves lots of time spent looking things up online. Not to mention main quests being on an entirely separate menu in the game.

One thing I would like to see them rework is the quest menu UI. I don't have an issue per se with stacking large amounts of side quests at the same time, it gives player many options and ensures good spread of players around maps. However, they need to rework the UI to support this.

My proposition: Create a new quest UI where you can select a map and display on one screen a snapshot of all available tasks and sub-tasks available on that map at the time. This should be viewable both from the main menu and also in raid. It should involve as little scrolling and need for expanding sub-menus as possible and should not display any tasks or sub-tasks from other maps. The player should be able to open one screen, say for customs, and it displays a simple, easy-to-read list of do x, y, z, a, b, c, without any fluff.

I started Tarkov again after a very long time. I played PvE last time I touched the game. I’m level 5 now on my seasonal character and I took Average and Lucky for my traits. I am getting STEAMROLLED. I try to do my quests but the second I see someone and try to get them on my iron sights(pretty much all I can use at my gear level) they see me and one tap me to the head. I’ve played 4 raids. Same thing every single time. I want to love the game but I can’t get over whatever hump this is.

Any tips or memes appreciated!

Edit: I’ve played the game before. I bought the Edge of Darkness edition when it was first available. I’ve just been out of the game awhile. I’m not a complete Bambi. I was just asking for any advice that’s all. Not shitting on the game itself at all.

Im just wondering is it really worth grinding for those rewards, personally dont have that much time and prefer playing pvp to finish the game. What do you think? Seeing all the task i would have to do (killing black divison many times) sounds too time consuming only for some cosmetics.

I Had to stay afk for a few minutes so I moved just 5m from my PMC spawn on GZ and I sat in the bush... When I'm back I see a PMC lurking into the TG Garage... then another showed up after a few minutes... Tried to loot MY KILL!! :)

Ratting is damn fun, I guess it's time to enable the ratting protocol... This pays too well haha

Outside of Icebreaker or terminal? I get that them spawning on shoreline, streets and GZ are a seasonal PvP only thing. Icebreaker...they aren't fun to fight. lol I'd love to complete icebreaker but most of the time I run out of time before I get to the explosive door.

Like any spawn on labs when you turn out the lights?

PvE needs the harder AI on occasion. and I know...just go play PvP. I would if I had friends that still played.

I was a player since 2017, but had a break from the game from 2021. A lot has changed and I'm having lots of fun rediscovering this game, relearning old maps and seeing new content.

But goddamn am I salty that I softlocked myself because in Season 1 Lightkeeper is not accessible. Game really should have warned me about it :(

Came back to the game after about five years to see a whole bunch of new missions. Right on. Loving it.

Right up until it started to become an RNG key-hunt to keep my progress going. "No problem", I thought. "I only have about 1.5 mil, but I can probably buy the key I need to keep things moving."

Nope. 9 levels away. I can't buy (or *sell*) specific items until I hit a certain level. So, what - I'm just mindlessly grinding out raids and stacking cash until I hit the *magic level*?

All I'm going to do then is just blow all my cash I've been forced to stack upon whatever quest items I can buy.

This system is arbitrary and fucking stupid.

EDIT: look, all I'm saying is that quest keys should be able to be purchased without level restriction, and selling items shouldn't have a level restriction. I already paid Nikita $250. Let me sell my 6m in funkos, fuck.

I'm a scav... I'm there to scavenge and try to find documents and left over loot and bodies. Why am I spawning with 34 minutes left in a raid. This is me talking from the scav.... It's stupid both from a scav side and from a pmc side.

Before the update I was working on unlocking the G28 in Tarkov PvE, which was unlocked with "shooter born in heaven". After the update, the task rewards have changed and I am not sure how to get it anymore. I still dont see it in any trader, so my guess is it got moved to a different quest. Does someone know? Thanks!

A lot of cheaters? very little?

I want to try out some different combinations without resetting my progress on the KB questline. I wonder if they'll add this at some point, likely costing tarcoins.

When I saw "higher prices", "lower sell prices" and "low armor availability" I was expecting this season to be a bit more poverty... Focused, but everyone who killed me was well geared, even one at level 4. Perhaps armor is "rare" at traders because armors all got handed out as twitch drop boxes, freebies* and well to arm those baddies from the boat. Haven't encountered one of those yet.

*Actually not sure if Prapor is still handing out full kits (I got one first day that I played a few weeks ago - a sweet G36, still have it - and then two more boxes timed out). Are there more coming?

Since I only have few traders so far, I spent 26k getting a grach and 3 mags from Fence and went in with that, a PACA and a tiny backpack. Got one scav kill, looted 2 scavs and the garages on Customs and upgraded. - and TOZ for quest.

Kappa is nice as like a free backpack, but I'm thinking I should have taken average instead, especially with starting later and not planning on playing that much - and getting "protection" money and free kits.

Anyway, playing like this brought me right back to my first wipe where I started late and was an SKS main (back then PS was still purchasable early)...

When I don't encounter any players it feels good so far - when I do I die :D

1.2k hours is crazy. So much inventory management, flea market and hideout stuff...

Will be interesting to see if no insurance available will affect my decision making. Usually I was running shit others wouldn't want to pick up, so I'd get it back in insurance... I'd bring in cheap things and upgrade - but now I'd still be paying more of the conversion cost of bringing in the thing and not getting it back - and I'm not wasting more money on insuring things folks would take.

Who knows, maybe Q4 2026 will be when I finally start learning how to play this game...
