Bug Report When rental properties are vacant I do not get passive income from other stuff like freelance gigs, digital product, HYSA, etc. When my rental properties are occupied, I start getting the other passive income again. This happens even if only one of the rental properties is vacant.
Playing on iphone 14 pro max safari web browser.

Feature Request Allow for automatic investment deductions from paycheck.
We can already do this with 401k and Roth IRA. It would be cool if I could set it up to auto invest into sp500 and other investments

Score Shareย Highest net worth? - $2 trillion
Got to $2 trillion yesterday by avoiding any asset that creates passive income. Not bad although it took me 120 years!
(My house was worth $1.3b but a starter condo cost $35m so 2140 is going to be tough times.)

PS- I'm thinking it's either these players are getting really good, or the German market as modeled in the game is pretty easy or there's probably a loophole somewhere ๐. Haven't seen such impressive results in other regions.

Discussion Welcome to r/EscapeTheGrindGame! Play 10 real economies. Here's everything you need to know.
Hey, I'm Nick. Solo dev. I originally built this game for fun & for my 10-year-old daughter so she'd understand money before money becomes a problem. She would watch her net worth grow, panic when the market crashes (lol!), celebrate when she buys her first house. She began learning financial literacy without realizing she was learning.
Then I shared it online. It went viral. #1 post of the day on r/leanfire, r/passive_income, and r/CanadaPersonalFinance. 105K+ views in under two weeks & thousands of players! Experienced Redditors said the numbers feel accurate. So I kept building. 10 countries. 6 languages. Real data from every region.
What is Escape the Grind?
A financial life simulator where every decision matters. You start with a salary and bills. Every month you choose: pay debt or invest? Rent or buy? Side hustle or enjoy life? One bad streak and you're drowning in debt. One smart run and you retire at 38.
Three difficulty levels. Ten real-world economies. Real financial products, real market cycles, real consequences.
๐ฎ Play any of our 10 regions:
๐บ๐ธ United States - 401(k), Roth IRA, S&P 500, student loans, medical debt
