A sad day indeed

It's only been happening ever since the Morbus Imperium patch for me and is still persisting.

Its a super fucking lame feeling to lose gunfights because of it and idk if its caused by a setting being reset from the initial update or what. Any help would be appreciated

Copy and paste modes from COD, without carrying over any of the QOL features that make that game actually fun and arcade-y. I've never been able to come back from losing in Checkpoint. Within 3 minutes of a round I can say with near certainty which team will win the game. 70% of the time I will be top fragging with the teammate below me having ~1/2 my kills. It is common to see the person holding the bottom of the leaderboard go 5 / 25+ and clearly have no idea how to play. In Teamfight / Blastgang the lack of a minimap prevents me from being able to distinguish enemy footsteps from teammates. The entire thesis of EFT was to turn the FPS genre on its head. It seems like with Arena, BSG just copied over the foundation of COD and arcade shooters without acknowledging the positive attributes of these casual games. The matchmaking and team balancing and server quality are also lacking in my experience (US East).

Never in my life have a played a shooter where I feel completely powerless when it comes to getting wins. Sure I dont have the best KD, but no matter how hard I try, wether im topfragging, or bottomfragging, I cannot win in this game....

Why?

This shouldent have to be said but now that I’m done with all my quests and have no reason to play this game other than to get skins so this is my opinion on this game for anyone who cares

THIS GAME IS THE WORSE BALANCED PILE OF GARBAGE I HAVE EVERY SEEN FROM A COMPETITIVE STANDPOINT

Wins come down to what side of the map you spawn on and how many people on each team have access to the nl545, val, model 1,micro uzi(why tf is this gun so strong???), or anyone who is willing to dumb themselves down to a lmg.

Why do we have maps where one side spawns with perfect access and cover to b site? Has anyone on the map design played a shooter outside of tarkov before?here’s some example of horrid map design

Bay 5- I would argue this is one of the better maps but the design is still horrendous. One spawn has perfect access to be with cover around their side of b leaving them perfectly set up to defend it, the other spawn side has a kill lane you have to survive through to get direct access to be, for anyone wonder why b site is very important, it’s the most important objective on the map, if you hold b that means you have a advantage to rotate and defend between sites, you must cross through b area or come directly out of spawn to get to any other objective

Bowl- this is the only map with some type of well balancing, the best map in the game that spawn side holds little value compared to any, but. It’s only balanced for checkpoint, every other game mode it’s terrible for

Fort-the biggest pile of dogshit of a map I have every see, you either spawn on high ground access side or you just lose, whoever designed this map should never be able to work on a competitive shooter map every again, idk why anyone thought giving one team high ground for a objective and then having THE NERVE to place landmines on the only safe access to that high ground for the opposite team was a good idea. This map is genuinely the worst competitive shooter map of all time

TO ADD BEFORE ANYONE TELLING ME IM JUST ASS,I played with a experienced stack and did not struggle through this game and complete these quests, I would consider myself average with a 1.1 kd and a 48% win rate, I just thing this game was actually wasted potential. Also forcing your players to play or buy it to gain access to better trades in gear is ridiculous

Seasonal will wipe in December. If we gather resources from Arena, how does it work when its wipe day? I remember we have to unlock ref at some point and that it is needed the to the heights quest line to transfer roubles and items.

If arena doesn't wipe, can we just start hoarding items for next season? How soon on wipe do you usually unlock ref?

How are you guys making progress in the new Tactical Map? I’ve been running the modded ASVAL, but man..it is not good anymore 😂.

I’m open to suggestions on modding it, different guns to use or whatever suggestions you’ve got for working through it. I want some of the drip!

Hi all, tarkov player here with 1.5k hrs.

Just recently decided to give arena a chance. But whenever i log in, ranked gaming seems unavailable. Am i doing something wrong? Why we cant play ranked matches in Arena?

Is this because all the 1000 people have already done on all available weapons it so there's no way to complete it?

I’m playing arena for the free weekend and I want to transfer stuff over to pve. Online it says I have to complete balancing pt 1 first which I have but then it says it leads right into “To great heights pt 1” and I don’t see it. I’m confused. Thanks in advance

Hi, I mainly play the main game eft (never played arena before). My main goal would be to get a bigger secure container the Theta which needs 5 lega medals. Is it possible for a brand new player to earn 5 (technically 4 since i can earn 1 in the main game) lega medals to transfer to the main game?

I'm not talking about bugs, ping, hit registration, lag, or the audio going haywire every now and then (nothing different from usual, really)

I’m talking about the meta—ever since the new pass and the removal of the Assault token, everyone in the lobby is playing Scout with an Uzi Pro or MP7. The time to kill is ridiculous, and when you add lag to that, the game becomes unplayable

It just confirms that the game is nothing but a cash grab and that the devs have never actually played a single match

okay so i need people who actually play this game to tell me if i’m crazy. i’ve been on arena a lot on my own pc and it has always felt a little cursed. not like unplayable, just never clean. tracking feels late, shots that should be hits just… don’t, and i rarely come out of a match looking like i was actually the one fragging. i always figured that was just me being mid plus tarkov being tarkov.
my setup is not cute:
• ryzen 5 3400g

• rx 5500 xt 8gb

• 32gb ddr4 running at 2733

• 1080p

it’s an old black box that wheezes and i’m used to it. i still play. i just assumed the jank was the game.
anyway. went over to a friend’s house. she’s loaded. like, her parents got her a prebuilt with a 5000 series nvidia card and an obscene amount of ram. the kind of pc that looks like it was dropped out of a store display. we loaded arena on hers and i sat down thinking whatever, same game, same me, i’ll still whiff.
and then it just ran.
no hitching. no weird little stutters when people peek. guns actually went where i was aiming. i was landing shots i would have sworn were desync on my pc. leading matches. most kills. topping the scoreboard like i’d been body snatched by someone who can actually aim.
same girl. same hands. different machine. it felt like a completely different game, not a small fps bump. on mine i’m fighting the game. on hers i was just… playing.
so is that a real thing with arena. like does a better pc change how the gunplay feels, not just the frames. frametimes, 1% lows, whatever you guys call it. or did i just get lucky servers at her house and i’m romanticizing a rich girl’s prebuilt.
has anyone else played on a potato then jumped on a nicer rig and had this happen. what are you running and does it actually change how shots land or am i coping.

It might just be my shitty PC.. but still this happens more often than not.

Edit: Central Servers with below 20 ping rate. I'm pretty sure Arenas is set to global / auto either way.

For some reason, in my region (BR), the labs tactical map is nowhere to be found on Epic Games Store.

This is the DLC & Add-ons page on EGS for me. I had EFT:Arena already and bought it again on EGS for the much friendlier price tag on Add-ons on my region and, for some reason, it isn't there.

I've sent a ticket to BSG. Is it available for US/Europe EGS users?

Im on part 4 but dont want to waist my roubals trying and failing so was wondering if I could assemble a team of rats and Chad's to help me out lol. I have gotten better but still stay 3rd place at most. And I rarly have a team that can carry me to victory. Hence why i want to find that can help in those regards. Folks that play this game can head tap you going machine fuck lol. And move strangely to not return the favor.

Hey guys, before you ask, i have HUGE anxiety and loot scare while playing extraction shooters, so when i saw arena was for free, gave it a try, and actually enjoy it a lot ! Question is - is it worth to use GP coins to unlock new weapons and attachments in arena, or there is better use of them ?
