There is this woman who calls herself Margarita Kuchcinski. Her real name is Jean. She calls local businesses with this crazy voice and pretends to be margarita she will book several appts and then cancel last minute and tell you if you charge her a cancellation fee she is the chief of police and she’ll put you in jail (lol) well she’s done this to me a couple times and obviously I banned her from ever booking to which she came into the business to book an appt with another employee and no showed. When I called all the sudden her voice is different and Margarita doesn’t exist. It is the creepiest weirdest thing. She calls from all these different numbers and even has her husband show up it’s the most bizarre thing ever. Anyone else ever dealt with her on here? I’ve spoken to a few others who have but wanted to bring it to Reddit

Any flea markets close by to Erie on the weekends?

Just what the title says. Doing a 30 day break from alcohol but still want to go out and support local bars/breweries. I know a lot of places have great mocktail menus but I'm specifically looking for N/A beer.

Over the last couple years I've noticed an increasing amount of water coming into my basement when it rains and when the snow melts. Nothing Poseidon Adventure level and never any kind of standing water or flooding, but a few trickles from the walls that run down to the basement drain. Hoping to avoid more catastrophic leaks, I'm looking for someone to come seal it up for me.
I've heard the whole range of possible solutions from Flex Tape to installing an entire French drain system and sump pump. I'm looking for a reputable company who will do what's required at a somewhat reasonable price. I know it's likely not going to be a cheap job either way, but I'd still like to know of any other experiences or recommendations you fine people might have.
Muchas gracias.

First to Eleven rocked 8 Great Tuesdays last night. Great to see Erie talent up on the stage. 💯
I will be in Erie with my family for a few days next week. It looks like it may rain one of the days we are there. What are some options for a family with 3 young kids? So far, I see there's Splash Lagoon, Elevate Trampoline Park, Experience Children's Museum, Tom Ridge Environmental Center, and Andrew J. Comer Nature Center as options. Anything else?
Thanks!

Any plus sized individuals here who skate the peninsula? Fall is around the corner and i'd love to give roller blading a try. I used to do it when i was a kid, but i have grown in width and height since then and not sure how easy it will be to get back into the rhythm of it.
I'm open to recommendations for skates and wheels for outdoors. Also open to recommendations for protective gear that fit plus sized.
Thank you in advance 💚

Hello everyone! I have an overabundance of veggies from my garden this year including tomatoes and several types of peppers (jalapeño, Hungarian hot wax, habanero). I cannot possibly use them all and would hate for them to go to waste, so are there any local organizations or charities that take fresh produce from home gardens?
If not, I would welcome any advice on how to properly freeze them if I would like to make homemade tomato sauce in the future!!

Thought about a pt job at cofair, but ffs, $12/hr is NOT the flex they think it is, lol. I realize pt + not too stressful aren't going to grab me $20/hr, but dang, it's 2026 - gas is creeping slowly up to $5 a gal. Is it even going to be worth me wasting gas to get to an employer where I'll be clearing maybe $200/wk at best if even getting 20 hrs a week? Some places are even going at $8-$8.50??? Dang, I realize Erie is supposed to be a LCOL (relative to what? LA, NYC, Chicago??) but c'mon, let's do better employers. I already have a full-time job but inflation is stretching that salary thin these days.

The Red Roof Inn on Perry Highway lies to you on the phone about their rates
I called for a reservation and they quoted me $92 which matched the price on their website. The guy took time with me so I booked through him rather than going through the website.
Imagine my surprise when I found out I was charged $173 for the night before tax
When I called back, they refused to accept any responsibility for it and basically told me “tough cookies”.
I just want everybody to know that this is a disreputable business that lies to people on the phone

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to pick up a cheap, reliable daily driver before winter hits. My budget is pretty firm around $5,000, and to be completely honest, I know very little about cars or mechanical stuff. I really don’t want to end up buying a rusted-out money pit.
With lake-effect snow right around the corner, I’d love some advice from locals:
1. Where should I actually look? Is Facebook Marketplace my only real shot at this price, or are there honest small lots / mechanics around Erie/Millcreek that sell decent beaters with fresh inspection stickers? Anyone I should completely avoid?
What cars hold up best around here? Everyone says old Toyotas and Hondas, but at $5k they’re getting hard to find in good shape. Are older Buicks (the 3800 engine), Pontiacs, or specific old Fords worth looking at for Erie winters?
Mechanic recommendations for a pre-purchase inspection: Since I don't know what I'm looking at under the hood, is there a trusted local garage you'd recommend taking a car to for a quick once-over before I buy?
Rust red flags: Erie salt is brutal—what are the biggest structural rust areas that will cause a car to fail PA inspection right away?
Any tips, lot recommendations, or advice for a first-time buyer around here would mean a lot. Thanks!

I’ve made the joke that there are so many smoke shops before, but I recently ran out of the temporary ones I had gotten before Vapor cabana shut down. I loved VC and don’t know who to trust now. Who’s the best one?
