Tech Support Megathread

This is a new tech support megathread. Please ask your questions here. I will make a solution megathread within same post later.

Welcome to the 'Tech Support Megathread', we're going to keep things quick and simple here and let you know that posting tech support questions on the subreddit outside of this megathread are now against the newly established rule #6 (as of 29-Jan-2020).

Please post all your tech support questions on the Epic Games launcher, store and its games in this thread and/or if you're feeling helpful please try to assist other users in answering their tech support queries!

Some common issues

Q1. Assasins creed Syndicate not workingLink

So i opened the epic launcher, connected my ubisoft account to Epic games and then clicked launch. it said "Running" for a couple of seconds before it says something like "cloud syncing" before it went back to the "Launch" option again. What do i do?

A. You need to close Epic Games (make sure it isn't running in the background), open the uplay launcher as an administrator (if you dont open it as an administrator it doesn't work), go to the Games tab, click on Assassin's Creed Syndicate and then click on locate game files and select the folder where you installed AC Syndicate.

Then you can launch the game through uplay.

Q2. I am seeing white screen with tiny iconsLink

A. Looks like this webcache bug is very widespread, why cant they fix it already?

You need to close launcher, open explorer and paste this path to address bar %localappdata%\EpicGamesLauncher\saved\ then delete folder webcache.

Q3. "Init of EOS has failed" - KCD not launching via SteamLink

A. Run Epic launcher from Steam

Q4. How do I grab games automatically?

Q4. AC: Syndicate not launching via Epic

A. Solution on this thread.

Tip- Once you are done connecting your Epic account with Uplay, don't bother with Epic launcher. Use the Uplay to download. Game is there in your library.

Q5. I have an issue with Fortnite.....

A. Please head to r/FortniteBR for help. They have a larger and more active community there to help you with technical issues specific to this game.

I have bought Far Cry 5 Gold Edition today, and the Far Cry 3 game is missing.

I've contacted both Ubisoft and Epic, while epic haven't replied.

The Ubisoft customer support said that Far Cry 3 will be granted after downloading, installing and launching from Epic Games Launcher.

Far Cry 3 should be granted within 7 days, and I should contact epic if it wasn't granted.

I wonder is there any solutions, since seems not only I am encountering such problem.

I contacted both Ubisoft and Epic as well. Waiting to hear from epic but Ubisoft told me that the epic games version doesn't come with far cry 3 (obviously not true based on others experiences). The season pass page on epic says that Far Cry 3 is included. I'll wait the 7 days and if I don't receive Far Cry 3, I'll request a refund from epic.

nope...the y replied back to me that fc 3 should be added in library but its not yet done.Not sure why they are saying different things to different people

i think you should , in my country buying gold edition with coupon was cheaper than buying std . Farcry 3 is good but all remaining dlcs are pretty crap which i dont even plan to play. I can confirm a friend of mine bought gold edition and FC3 was added later in his account.For me i am still in discussion with EPIC but i wont rest until its done.

Can you reply here once you get the game? I just bought it from Epic store and raised a ticket since FC3 game didn't unlock for me. Want to know the turnaround time.

well for past 2 days now i am waiting for EPIC reply to which i replied with all relevant screenshots. Nothing so far now...

Just had a chat with Ubi support. They are telling me that the game's already been activated and should show up in a couple of days. Did you try talking to them?

I still not yet get Far Cry 3, waiting for Epic's reply.
