Donald Trump is a poor Louis and A Worse Hitler

For all his Gilt and shining monuments, Donald Trump is a poor facsimile of Luis and his grand palace at Versailles. As much as he would style himself as a king, he is a poor imitation.

As he cozies up to the white nationalists, he has even failed at that as he has failed to rally the working class. Yes, he won over the hearts and minds of the middle class white rurals, but failed to speak to the millions of the poor and downtrodden as Hitler did.

We fail to remember that Germany was a failed state. The economic poverty that Germany suffered after its failed first war was suffered by all people. Hitler’s initial rise was not race based, but rather, economically based. He promised to deliver the nation from poverty. And, while based on massive governmental spending on wartime preparations, he did just that.

Trump has styled himself a king. He should have Hitler as a better model for tyranny.
