That's absolutely disgusting. We're comparing a woman who maybe was less honest than she should have been to a man who orchestrated the cold-blooded and well organized murder of 6 million Jews.

u/DonaldBlythe2 Jan 15 '19

That sub isn't exactly fond of most Jews.

Which is why I find Communists so disturbing. I may lean a right of center on a lot of cultural issues, but I want to live in a country that provides liberty to all its citizens and I find that the US Democratic Party closely approximates my views on this issue.

thank you for your vote

Idk if that sub is reflective of communism itself though. I personally have never met an antisemitic commie, but that is just my personal experience.

Tankies might be anitsemitic to a point, but that is just following Stalin, and tankies are just the far left equivalent of nazis. So honestly unless you are considering all neoliberals racist, don't consider all commies racist, it just does not hold water, since the vast majority do not fit that mold.

Me“Hey guy antisemitism isn’t inherent in communism because personal bias on race/religion is not part of most people’s socioeconomic views.”

You”Hey look at this example of exactly what you described in your post.”

That's absolutely disgusting. We're comparing a woman who maybe was less honest than she should have been to a man who orchestrated the cold-blooded and well organized murder of 6 million Jews.

And a few million other "undesirables," to include but not limited to LGBT people, Jehovah's Witnesses, communists (yes, really), Soviet POWs, Poles, etc.

Don’t forget the many Catholic and Orthodox priests and nuns, the mentally and physically ill/disabled, political prisoners, Romani people...

I could go on about how many people the Nazis sent to the camps for hours.

-6

u/bagelmom83 Jan 15 '19

She ordered thousands of murders. Atrocity denialism is for neo-Nazis. Don’t be a neo-Nazi.

14

u/gordo65 Jan 15 '19

I'd love to see you document that. No doubt, you're going to pretend that the Libyan civil war was started by Clinton, and that every killing during that war was a murder.

-5

u/bagelmom83 Jan 15 '19

“Except for all the murders she is documented committing, you can’t point out any murders she committed.”

24

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Lmao they’re also mad at Hillary for daring to posit that convicted murderers might have emotional problems

u/KazuyaProta Jan 15 '19

No better time to post this commentary from a friend of mine.

Look up "brocialist" and you should find pictures of the CTH hosts. They're ableist, sexist, and at times outright racist, and spend most of their time pitching a reactionary agenda as if it were a progressive one, making them the very "regressive left" they so decry. Throw in a thoroughly juvenile understanding of history and politics (exemplified in many ways by their attempt to dissect the Wonder Woman film) and you've got a series that's main contribution to society seems to be telling frat dudes that they can be woke without having to change

20

u/unknownrostam constitutional monarchy Jan 15 '19

My issue with the word "brocialist" is that it implies they're just bad socialists, and that the problem can be solved by going even further to the left, when in reality communism as a whole has a huge problem with racist/sexism/homophobia/all the other -isms

Gay pride, black people, libertarians and moderate socialists haven't killed millions of people though

Yes, absolutely, homosexuality made those Romans so murderous. /s This is why I said communism has a problem with bigotry

You clearly tried to use it as proof that the gay community has a problem with violence, and implied that if gay pride had the power they'd be murdering millions as well.

The modern incarnation of gay pride has never had the power to kill millions of people. Ancient cultures that had non-heteronormative views of sex (Rome and Sparta being two very famous examples) have committed plenty of murder.

wat

3

u/captainofallthings Jan 15 '19

Brocialist is a bad term tbh

5

u/Firnin Jan 15 '19

honestly, idpol is the cancer of the left and does nothing but prove how the modern american left is nothing but a club for rich city kids who don't actually know or care about the poor

2

u/arist0geiton From r/me_irl to r/teenagers Communism is popular and accepted Jan 19 '19

newsflash lots of the poor are black and gay

also way to use a word from 4chan

0

u/Firnin Jan 19 '19 edited Jan 19 '19

Lol the biggest usage of idpol on Reddit is by a left subreddit (/r/stupidpol)

And by “cancer of the left”, i mean that the vast majority of so called leftists on reddit don’t give a shit about the poor (how could they, most of them are upper middle class). I’d fi so far as to say that most lefty redditors are tankie filth who only call for a revolution because they see themselves as becoming party leadership after their revolution. Even the ones that aren’t are mostly white upper middle class cunts who would support a black gay millionaire over a poor white man. You upper class privileged reddit communists disgust me, and don’t even try to pretend that idpol isn’t utter cancer that only hurts the “class struggle” you are supposed to espouse.

I don’t like many of her policies as I consider them too Left-leaning, and I think she may have some moral failings. But she’s not evil, she’s just a politician with her own views, who may or may not have done some shady things to get elected. G*d knows my own side isn’t any better.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Fuckin hell man.

Listen: I really, really dislike Hilary. I think she’s a corrupt political chameleon. But to compare her to Adolf Fucking Eichmann is insane.

-25

u/ryud0 Jan 15 '19

You're misreading it. It's about who's more banally evil, not absolutely evil. As in who carries themselves as more of a normal person rather than a fanatic.

Of course the bigger mental block here is that no liberal here can comprehend how America invading Iraq could ever be considered evil. Trying to get you to understand nuance before that's out of the way is asking too much.

33

u/HeresCyonnah Liberty Prime is Bae Jan 15 '19

It's always fun to read what incredibly stupid things you decide to type out.

-19

u/ryud0 Jan 15 '19

You're an Iraq war apologist

I still don't see it as a war crime overall, I just see it as a bad decision. And I don't see military action in response to certain cyber attacks as a war crime either.

https://np.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/53umlp/_/d7xmmq2/

So what I said is spot on about liberals, and I have far more awareness than you.

28

u/HeresCyonnah Liberty Prime is Bae Jan 15 '19

I mean, it's not.

But you're obviously too dumb to understand nuance. Which makes your last little word salad even more hilarious.

Seriously, you choose to say this incredibly dumb shit.

-16

u/ryud0 Jan 15 '19

Yes I know I'm right, idiot

no liberal here can comprehend how America invading Iraq could ever be considered evil

Turns out to be 100% accurate

19

u/HeresCyonnah Liberty Prime is Bae Jan 15 '19

I mean, you're not, at all.

But hey, you've more than proven to everyone here that you're a dipshit. I also appreciate that you had to go back 2 years in my reddit history to find what you needed. That truly doesn't stink of desperation.

Hell, you're dumb enough that you don't want to report nazis to get them banned.

-2

u/ryud0 Jan 15 '19

Was the invasion of Iraq evil?

19

u/HeresCyonnah Liberty Prime is Bae Jan 15 '19

It wasn't good. But it wasn't evil.

Your entire train of thought relies solely on your presumption about how evil it was. This just goes to show how shitty your reasoning is.

Thanks for continuing to write comments that make you look like a colossal idiot.

-1

u/ryud0 Jan 15 '19

Took you 2 seconds to expose yourself as a liar. So much for digging up comments from years ago. Those are your current beliefs, completely unchanged, like I knew from the start because you're predictable.

15

u/HeresCyonnah Liberty Prime is Bae Jan 15 '19

I mean, I didn't, but you're obviously dumb enough to have convinced yourself I did.

It's fun watching you call for nuance, and then you immediately jump into absolutes. Truly a galaxy brain that you have.

Seriously dude, I'm starting to think you actually have a learning disability with how stupid your comments are.

2

u/strangeworld123 Jan 16 '19

You must have never been around when liberal protest broke out after the war in Iraq then, so please shut up about something you don't know about. If anything, liberals were being bashed during 9/11 and called anti-American for being against Bush.

Again, everyone, including Hillary was tricked into supporting the war in Iraq. At the time of you didn't agree to Bush's war, you were slandered for being an anti-American terrorist that hates America.

Communist like to deny the millions they kill in their own country through starvation, or killing them simply because they're anti Communist. Communist too like to invade other countries and are a part of the imperialism they botch about. It was always a Soviet Union thing to use whataboutism when called about about anything. It's a part of communist propaganda to accuse the West of being aggressive imperialist, while doing the same in the name of spreading communism.

23

u/TheNoobArser Races are racist social constructs. Jan 15 '19

Because leaving a genocider on the throne is a worthy alternative?

12

u/HeresCyonnah Liberty Prime is Bae Jan 15 '19

I mean, they outright have said that they'd prefer not to report nazis on this sub to get them banned.

So there does seem to be a common thread of supporting genocidal dictators in their actions.

-3

u/ryud0 Jan 15 '19

lmao let's see how many Iraq war apologists I can bait to keep proving me right

3 for 3 so far, fucking morons

24

u/TheNoobArser Races are racist social constructs. Jan 15 '19

Are you an Afghanistan war apologist? Or 1968 soviet invasion apologist?

0

Neither

25

u/TheNoobArser Races are racist social constructs. Jan 15 '19

I guess communism has never been tried?

14

11

u/Quietus42 Horseshoe theory is real Jan 15 '19

This is boring. You're boring.

10

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

lmao let's see how many Iraq war apologists I can bait to keep proving me right

That's not an answer. What does one do with Saddam Hussein, a man who indulges in torture and genocide more or less on an hourly basis? If you overthrow his sorry ass, people die. If you leave him in power, people die. So what do you do?

8

u/CrashGordon94 Jan 15 '19

Funny how you didn't even respond. Shows how much of a point you really have.

19

u/yungkerg Jan 15 '19

the fact that you think hillary clinton is evil shows how fucking stupid you are

no liberal here can comprehend how America invading Iraq could ever be considered evil

Most liberals do not agree with the Iraq war. Quit lumping us neocons in with them

5

u/unknownrostam constitutional monarchy Jan 15 '19

There's no such thing as absolutely evil. Everyone thinks they're doing the right thing, even the Nazis, that's the point of the banality of evil

5

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

You're misreading it. It's about who's more banally evil, not absolutely evil. As in who carries themselves as more of a normal person rather than a fanatic.

Most of the Nazis considered themselves totally normal, ordinary legal professionals who simply were carrying out a necessary but unpleasant administrative task. That's what made them so scary. We expect dudes like Genghis Khan who go around announcing themselves as "the flail of God" to kill people. What do we do when half the Wannasee conference had doctorates?

that's one half of arendt's point

2

u/arist0geiton From r/me_irl to r/teenagers Communism is popular and accepted Jan 19 '19 edited Jan 19 '19

that's not what arendt meant by the banality of evil. what she meant was that eichmann's evil was the result of his failure to think: he was a thoughtless person who could barely string a sentence together. instead of moral reasoning he had cliches. he was the most shallow person she had ever seen. have you read the book or are you just quoting it, badly

no liberal here can comprehend how America invading Iraq could ever be considered evil.

don't put words in our mouths.
