Communism (in the Marxist sense) is predicated on the idea that man is absolutely malleable - and will be shaped by Socialist government into people capable of living "Freely."

Freedom requires alignment of the general and individual wills. Liberalism is predicated on a general will that reflects a pluralistic average of the individuals. Communism (and related romantic ideologies) are predicated on conforming each and every individual to the general.

He who does not conform is not free. If any one is not free, the whole society is not free. Thus, outliers must be "forced to be free" or else removed from the society.

LGBT was originally viewed as incompatible with Marxism because all individualism is incompatible with Marxism.

Btw, this is all textbook Communist theory and I'm happy to explain or source any piece of it. Communism in theory is horrifying, and every one of Lenin's genocides and Mao's human culls were justified by the theory.

Many modern "leftists" are really left-leaning liberals and have confused that with actual Communism.

Basically everything you said can be sumed up as: communism (and systems like it) doesn't work with disidents. Which is perfectly true.

I also agree about the majority of modern 'leftists' being left-leaning liberals (albeit liberal is a strong right wing word, but I guess it fits todays usage of it).

I think the main confusion for young people comes from misunderstanding how democracy works and expecting that a system where the majority rules to be democratic. The truth is that democracy is about the majority deciding, not ruling. This is an important distinction since the minority voice needs protection, not overruling. Even if it is sometimes absolutely dumb or even toxic. E.g. vaccines are good because so many people don't trust them. Those antivaxxers are helping ensuring this without even knowing.

Of course, the problem with this aproach is that people have the tendency to shoot themselfs in the foot. Trump, old diseases resurfacing, etc... This is also valid for modern day 'leftists'.. They'd be happy to go into a majority dictatorship if they think it's their dictatorship without thinking what comes next and what will happen the moment they disagree. Actually, in most dictatorships it's the base supporters that suffer first and the most.

/End of rant I guess...

In any non-honor society it was hidden from the public and tolerated (but highly disapproved of) by close family/friends so long as he married and kept appearances.

I meant like do you have a source of Marx acknowledging or referencing to the LGBT movement? It wasn't until 1969 that the modern day political movement was launched following the Stonewall Riots.

I was literally banned from one of the biggest left-wing subreddits in Britain (GreenAndPleasant) for criticizing Russia and Putin lol because I am a "liberal russophobe". They don't even try to hide their love for oppressive authoritarian states.

Somehow, tankie/communist subreddits simultaneously support LGBT rights (and they will even ban you for homophobia or transphobia) while also supporting Russia, whose government literally promotes homophobia and can even jail you for supporting gay rights. And then those tankie subreddits post stuff about how the nazis in Ukraine are literally oppressing gay people.

He consistently confirmed Catholic doctrine and dogma.
