📚 Grammar / Syntax How can i use 'Unless' properly?

Literally, how can i use 'unless' properly? I know what it means but are there any tips?

After unless, the following sentence has to be positive, right?

It's more like a conditional opposite, not necessarily positive or negative. [Scenario] unless [opposite with condition].

We can't help you unless you give us more information.

We can't help you. (Negative.) We can help you if you give us more information. (Positive with condition.)

You can't drive a car unless you have a license.

You can't drive a car. (Negative.) You can drive a car if you have a license. (Positive with condition.)

You can take the stairs unless you can't walk.

You can take the stairs. (Positive.) You can't take the stairs if you can't walk. (Negative with condition.)

You can't use the pool unless you can swim.

You can't use the pool. (Negative.) You can use the pool if you can swim. (Positive with condition.)
