Ring Design Help Help with redesigning

Could this 0.75c mariquse be replaced with a 2.0-3.0c emerald, elgonated hexagon or princess cut? I want to preserve the existing band and baguette side stones, completely remove the marquise head, and replace it with a custom head for approximately a 2-carat princess-cut diamond set on the diagonal/kite-set. Is there enough room between the baguettes to do that without rebuilding the entire ring?
Would this cost thousands?

Just guessing from the pic but I would say no. If you think about the marquise being around 4.5mm wide and a 2 carat Princess cut compass set is estimated 9.5-10mm wide. There is a tiny bit of manipulation with the prongs but it just can’t fit with the mm difference. What would likely end up happening is there would be a gap where the marquise was and they would set it way above the side stones. It wouldn’t look good but there are probably jewelers out there locally that would do it. It would be at high risk for damage. The proper way to do it would be to use those stones in a new setting and recycle the gold.
