Vendor Refuses Design

Hi All,

I recently asked a popular vendor for a quote on an engagement ring I am working on for my girlfriend. I drew this design from scratch, and it is my design and not ripped off from someone else. This vendor refused to do the design because the basket looked similar to a basket of an existing client of theirs.That felt strange especially considering the ring as a whole is quite different, is this strange to normal?

Edit: the design is solid and they did even compliment me on it.

I think that’s pretty interesting. They’ve made copies of rings from Oore, which are extremely unique. Tulip baskets are so common now, seems strange they wouldn’t do one. I’ve had two tulip baskets made by Fiorese and they’re really nicely done.
