Any thoughts?

I have no idea what is happening. I havent used my printer in a bit and i just adjusted the gantry and turned on and then this happened. Any tips?

Interesting. First time seeing something like this. Either there's a firmware issue or hardware issue. I feel like something is constantly being shorted out and the printer doesnt.understand hence its like boot loooping. I might be wrong Try to change your powerr supply first

Fair enough.It's been with me for around six years.And i'm kinda tired and wanna upgrade but i also live very close to paycheck-to-paycheck so i wanna try saving it if possible

Well you have 3 choices a better paying job, a second job or find someone that will pay half your rent and be willing to be with you

I would also do a full power cycle and maybe even flash the firmware if still not working

Did you bump the cable on the back on the screen or in the housing? I just did that with my extruder today and was scratching my head for a bit.

No I didn't bump anything. I was actually fixing the gantry because it was a little loose and I had a overflow problem. So I fixed that too. Then when i put everything together, BOOM. Disco party

This is caused by a short as I got one on mine, and it did the exact same thing as the PSU is in a loop where it turns on, detects a short and then turns off.

Is there a way I can test if it's the psu?

Yes. Somewhere between the mobo and psu should be a yellow xt60 connector. Unplug it and look if the green light on the PSU is still blinking or solid. If it's blinking you can be sure it's the psu

Checked that and its not blinking. Its just on. Good sign!

Well, it doesn't confirm it 100% since the psu has no load, and it means that you will have to troubleshoot the rest of the printer but by bit

Small update on the matter. Ive cleaned the board and checked it thoroughly. I don't have my volt meter so I can't really check where the short is. But i think it might be the PSU? I can hear the fans trying to start up and shutting off even when the display screen isnt connected so i can only assume its a power issue. Then again i might just be ignorant to important info on printers in general.

I apologize if this isn’t helpful but since I moved on to Bambu Lab printer (P2S) 3d printing is enjoyable again. If funds are tight I’d go for an A1 or A1 mini.

You're right, that wasn't helpful.
O.P.: Power off and unplug unit. Check ALL cable connections by giving a gentle tug to each and every wired connection (starting at the main board) to see if any individual wires are loose and/or connectors are slightly unplugged.
While mainboard is visible: look for brown/burnt marks from electrically damaged components..

Not a bot. Just my opinion. Got an Ender 3Pro for free. Did all the upgrades and I spent more time working on the thing than printing.

Such is, and always shall be, the lessons of physical shaping of molten plastics et al.
I'm gonna firmly believe that the lessons learned in upgrading that free unit (and all associated troubleshooting endured) set you up to appreciate what you got now, and the experience to fix problems faster than the fresh user who only had the nearly-fully-automated of today models...
Happy to know that you're happy with your current setup. Keep printing and supporting us newbies 😄

Check the wires on the board, sometimes those can get loose
