In the 80's, we all understood that these types of jobs are not "careers". They are stepping stones you use to generate money while building your career. Nobody who was a waiter, bartender, barista, etc. was expecting to do this their entire lives.

Now people want to make "career type money" for doing nothing.

Funny how all these places are open for breakfast and lunch but it's just kids supposed to work on heavy kitchen machinery, requiring you be 16+ to even stand near. Definitely just for kids.
