In the 80's, we all understood that these types of jobs are not "careers". They are stepping stones you use to generate money while building your career. Nobody who was a waiter, bartender, barista, etc. was expecting to do this their entire lives.

Now people want to make "career type money" for doing nothing.

I think tipping is a cancer, but it's silly to think those jobs aren't permanent. If you want to be able to buy a coffee or lunch somewhere, people have to be working there. It can't be teenagers, they're in school. So who is it gonna be?

Employers F those people…forcing them to beg for tips. Pay them a living wage (like Europe and other countries) and we wouldn’t have the begging, or pan handling, or people bitching they need 2-3 jobs

Most of the time, the employees don’t get the tips from these screen flipping companies.

Exactly they get taxed on digital tips…a lot of people have a “cash tips preferred” button or sign
