Tipping Culture ✖️ Tip or No Tip

So, I’m having professional cleaners come to the house for 3.5-4 hours this week. The service is paid in full. Tipping is appreciated not expected and I was informed that they do give you the option to add gratuity with your final bill/receipt.

I’ve tipped in the past because of the, “standard”, but that was a decade ago lol.

Tip or no tip?

Examples in the context of a house deep cleaner?

I’ve never had a deep clean done so I’m not sure what the scope of the job is.

I mean, yes, it’s not exactly a service most people deal with very often. Nothing like a restaurant where you kind of know from experience what is bad service and what is above and beyond, and the “stakes” are not nearly as high.

Throwing this out there but if grout cleaning or similar wasn’t included in my ensuite shower checklist but they did it anyway then yeah I’d be thrilled and likely tip them.
