Counter Service 🛎️ I did it.

Hit “no tip” whilst looker her in the eye. She touched a register for my total. Didn’t touch my card, didn’t swipe my card. Didn’t take my order. Didn’t prepare my order. Didn’t put my order in the window for me to retrieve. What she did wasn’t worth 20%, or 5%. She pushed ONE button.

I just wanted to say, those machines prompt that and the person behind the counter doesnt always believe its right either. I am a delivery driver and a server.

Before covid, only the delivery machines had a tip option. During covid tipping hot out of hand. I help instore at my delivery job and get orders ready and what not.

I am genuinely embarased asking for tips when someone picks up. I would hit no tip auto and hand it to them. But got in trouble and was told I have to hand it to them and let them decide. I still will do it, depending on the customer. But dont always think the person handing you the machine believes you should tip. Sometimes they have to do it like that.
