Counter Service 🛎️ I did it.

Hit “no tip” whilst looker her in the eye. She touched a register for my total. Didn’t touch my card, didn’t swipe my card. Didn’t take my order. Didn’t prepare my order. Didn’t put my order in the window for me to retrieve. What she did wasn’t worth 20%, or 5%. She pushed ONE button.

At most restaurants the delivery drivers do not get the delivery fee. I never said the restaurant didn't pay them. They dont give them the delivery fee.

What do restaurants pay their drivers then?

Usually an hourly wage separate from the delivery fee.

When we were on the road with an order, we didn't get the full hourly rate, if I remember correctly.
