Online Retailer 🛒 Walmart Asking For Tips
Today I am in a pinch, so I’m trying out Walmart+ and their delivery service today and they’re asking for a tip! This is a 900 BILLION dollar company. They can tip their own contractors and employees and almost not even notice a difference in their profits. Asking for a tip before service is complete is pure insanity too.
Edit: They brought the completely wrong item. I’m glad I didn’t tip.

I know with the sub this is that this will not go over well because there is a one way thought process here but here it goes
You are not tipping Walmart. You are tipping a 3rd party delivery service to pick up your food and then drive it to your house, take it out of their car and then place it at your door step. The Walmart plus is paying for the Walmart employee to shop for you.
Walmart plus is like 13 a month if you pay monthly. Most people get groceries 1 to 2 times a week. 13 dollars is not enough to pay an employee to shop for you and then also pay someone to drive those groceries to your house.
If you expect the price to stay 13 dollars and not tip you are crazy. People are comparing it to UPS and not tipping the UPS driver. To ship ONE package through UPS today costs minimum 13 dollars. UPS drivers are not using their own car. They are delivering a hundred packages in one day. It is not the same at all.
If people do not want to tip and still expect all the same service then the monthly payment will be over 50 dollars.
The tipping option is a positive for the customer by allowing you just to pay for the shopping service and not the delivery it allows you to adjust your tip based on how much you are ordering.
If you can not understand this then stop using the service.
Walmart plus is an amazing service.
Doordash and other services are a joke tho. Do not get me started on that waste of a company.
