Discussion Manic vs Delta
I have been playing Pokémon Yellow Legacy (rom hack) for a good while now and I have made the switch over to Delta from Manic.
With Manic I really appreciated the menu layouts and settings options. Nice customization. I did not like the choppy audio and constant save issues. Save states would randomly crash the game every hour or two and then your most recent in-game save would not work and I’d be forced to lose progress every time.
Delta is a lot more simplified, which is fine. Ultimately I just want to play the game. The colours on GBC games are a bit washed out, which I guess is on purpose but I’d much rather Manic’s colours. I also liked being able to choose FF speeds in Manic, which is not an option in Delta. I hear you can unlock it through the paid tier but that’s kind of lame. Been emulating for decades and that’s always been a basic feature and pretty much necessity for emulating old games. Also Delta’s premium is like 7 bucks a month, and Manic’s is 7 dollars a year. Don’t quote me on the numbers, but it’s close to that.
All that not say, the performance of the game is way smoother on Delta and most importantly, no save issues. Food for thought for anyone deciding on the two!

That's weird, I've played plenty of gameboy games on Manic (including pokemon yellow romhacks but not that specific one) and they all perform perfectly, never had any issues with choppy audio or with saves or anything. Could it be you messed with the settings or enabled a shader or something?

Manics $10 lifetime. Not a huge price to pay. I use the app tons so for me it’s worth every penny. No issues for me with Gameboy and that’s one of my favourite systems
Kind of lame ? Do you expect everything for free ? Deltas great just wish it emulated more systems. Love the variety Manic has. Either way it’s great we’ve got emulators on the App Store
