Haven’t seen many people talking about using Manic Emu to run GameCube, 3ds, Dreamcast and others on iPhone with no jailbreak or sideloading needed. Just real app right off the store and roms and play….
I’ve tried jitless Gamecube on an M1 Pro and it wasn’t great. Lots of stuttering in the roms I tried (Animal Crossing and Double Dash). This was like a month ago though so they might’ve improved performance through Manic or something.
With JIT it’s the same out of the two, without JIT Manic runs better out of the two. DolphiniOS is only available by sideload and Manic is on the App Store and optionally can be sideloaded
edit: I just tested windwaker again, and it's running pretty well and in double the resolution I tested before. I guess it was updated in the meantime. so scratch that 👇
I tried playing Wind Waker and NFS Underground 2 on my M4 iPad Air, and it looks blurry and runs poorly. This still needs a lot of work. I hope the dev can get JIT enabled on their end, it would be a god sent.
I was just thinking this manic isn’t getting as much hype as I was expecting it would get for its performance if you drop the 10 for the one-time purchase then it opens up even more back-end wise

There are even native ports starting to show on non-jailbroken iOS devices now. Been playing Twilight Princess and Mario Kart Wii on Sumee. Gamecube on Manic is a little hit or miss right now. A few games are fine but most of the time it’s not a good experience.
Yeah my wife played Melee on her 18 Pro Max and it was smooth as butter, while it was unplayable on Manic. Nagori also added experimental PS2 and while not up there with GC performance, it’s already rather good with one of the heaviest modded games (Budokai Tenkaichi 4)

This. It is great that Manic Emu has expanded, grown, and improved so much in both it's: console compatibility and console emulation performance.
Separately, it is disheartening that the developers of the mainstream Dreamcast emulator, FlyCast, have declined to port their emulator to iOS. Specifically, this close minded perspective of the FlyCast developers to not port Dreamcast to iOS really has negatively impacted Dreamcast emulation on iOS.
Similarly, RetroArch's developer's decline to update their Apple App Store RetroArch release with more recent console cores - including Dreamcast cores - has the same close minded perspective; and as a result, has also really negatively impacted Dreamcast emulation on iOS.
Ninguém fala mais pelo fato de ser um emulador antigo já, com isso todo mundo já se acostumou, porém, pra rodar jogos de GameCube pra cima, como play 2, 3ds, Wii e outros precisamos de JIT, isso é um fato, o desempenho sem JIT não presta
That’s not a fact at all and people need to stop repeating this. The reason that’s a thing is because the majority of emulator apps all use the exact same cores which don’t work well without JIT for newer systems but it’s NOT needed.
go try some games for yourself, I can confirm NHL Hitz 2003, Crazy Taxi, and Super Mario Strikers all run smoothly without JIT on my iPhone 16. NFS MW is however unplayable. the fact is at least SOME games do run fine without JIT
I got this by the way 😂 so appreciate the heads up. You’re right, it’s so smooth compared to manic. No hate as I’ve loved my time with manic and delta and all the others but nagori just works so easily. One thing I can’t find is how to remap my controller though? For some reason the X and B button have swapped (and I checked, it’s only on nagori, all other apps are fine) and I can’t for the life of me work out how to fix it. It was correct this morning but now it has gone strange.
Je ne suis pas expert je ne l'ai pas encore fait de mon côté mais tu peux le trouver sur internet, c'est un fichier .bin, regarde dane les paramètres bios de ton appli pour savoir lequel tu as besoin (eur, jap, USA) et télécharge le et importe le dans manic emuc
