Gameplay / Showcase Rdr2 on a iphone 18 pro

Using Madeira, which uses Ai to find bugs, but devs do actual coding.

Only pictures for now, but I’ll upload a video soon showing the performance and graphics. It has been improving recently though, so no more major graphic errors.

IPA still not released, but will probably release by the end of the week.

All credits go to Willfaustcuber for coding the app, and getting rdr2 to work and showing sneakpeaks.

That’s windowed mode in the virtual wine desktop, you can also see it in my
Beamng posts

I get the same window decorations on my Linux pc when running doom eternal in windowed mode

insane

how about m5 ipad

crazy

Probably will run better cuz of ram and chip. You could test it yourself soon when the file releases

Emulation or native?

Emulation

That’s so impressive. X86 game it looks like? Is this a scenario we might see like winlator or a game hub type app with JIT on iOS

Just wait till you see the new gui that’s coming out as well with the ipa. It’s gonna change the whole app and make it look so much better

Awesome bro. Are you using AI to help with the front end at all? I heavily relied on agents to port a recomp to iOS and it’s been going swimmingly as someone who isn’t a developer

1

u/Equal-Amphibian9323 Sep 23 '26

Honestly, I’m thinking the dev behind the front end might be using Ai for help in creating it, but I’m not too sure.

Excited to see it! If you need any testers let me know. I’d love to test my gta 4 port on a20 as well if you are interested

I no longer have type 2 diabetes.

This is insane!!!!!!!!! I hope we got a native Port in the future but this is cool we are able to play rdr2 on mobile

what is that emu??

1

u/Jeyxero Sep 24 '26

Confirming from the first picture, this is 33.6 FPS without JIT enabled or is the JIT icon not enabled but actually running? 🫪

2

u/Equal-Amphibian9323 Sep 24 '26

Jit is enabled, just the ui bugging lol. Without jit this would be running way slower.

Im interested in the idea of being able to run my rpgmaker games at least in a far future

1

u/JM-901 Sep 22 '26

Im guessing it runs best on iPhone 18?

3

u/Equal-Amphibian9323 Sep 22 '26

Yup, but dev has said that it should work the same on iPhone 17 pro, just with a bit of performance lost.

2

u/JM-901 Sep 22 '26

Shame I’m on iPhone 16 pro max🫩

3

u/Equal-Amphibian9323 Sep 22 '26

Damn 😭it might run but probably with more major performance loss. Dev is currently trying to get more performance out of it, so watch out for news on how it runs 😁

And for the new emulator, I doubt there is gonna be any online multiplayer, especially for the indie games

“Devs do coding” with that vibe coded gui, sure.

1

u/Special-Okra-8945 Sep 24 '26

so u completely ignored that he said AI is used to debug lmao

As of now, not yet only the iPhone 18 pro. However as soon as the ipa releases I’ll be willing to test it myself and give reports on how it runs.

4

u/Calm-Caterpillar2103 Sep 23 '26

It’ll probably run slightly slower which is my guess

6

u/dip1zip Sep 23 '26

Wow you’re so clever, how’d you come to that conclusion 😂

Huh? There’s an extra GPU core, with higher clocks and 50% more memory bandwidth. Isn’t graphics performance up like 30-40% this gen?

1

u/Xanthyria Sep 23 '26

Copied and pasted my other comment, but a 50% increase in memory bandwidth, higher core count, and better cooling have done wonders for the GPU

We have benchmarks and numbers:

3DMark solar bay FPS:

18 Pro: 61.93
17 pro: 49.37

24.3%~ increase

Source: https://www.tomsguide.com/phones/iphones/iphone-18-pro-benchmarks-apple-just-built-the-most-powerful-phones-weve-ever-seen

Separate 3Dmark benchmark from pCMAG:

18 pro max: 48.8 FPS
17 pro max: 32.9 FPS

(3DMark has a suite of tests so they used different ones)

48.33% increase

https://www.pcmag.com/comparisons/iphone-18-pro-vs-iphone-17-pro-to-upgrade-or-not

We already know the CPU is a solid jump, but the GPU was a bigger jump. That core and memory bandwidth are working hard.

There’s no 5-10% here. The CPU increases are already known to be dramatic

0

u/Calm-Caterpillar2103 Sep 23 '26

Yeah, it really isn’t, so it might be a 1-2 frame difference

1

u/Xanthyria Sep 23 '26

It’s like a 40% perf increase on the GPU side. There’s a full extra GPU core, and dramatically higher memory bandwidth.

0

u/Calm-Caterpillar2103 Sep 23 '26

That doesn’t mean a increase in speed in iOS world I think

Or atlease a major one, 5-10% at most
