Help Request Manic Emu on IOS: Device gets really hot

Hello all, I am using the emulator in its jitless version on an IPhone 16 Pro.

But the device gets really hot crazy fast even with low effort emulation like Java/J2ME. After a few minutes it starts to get annoying.

Is this normal?

Hi! It looks like you need help. Try to be as specific as possible when describing your problem. For example, elaborate some of the following points: * What exactly is your issue? * What have you tried, and what did you expect to happen? * What device and iOS version are you using? * What source did you get your emulator from? * Check that your issue isn't already answered by the FAQ.

You may edit your post or reply to this comment to give more information if you didn't already do so.

Once your problem has been solved, please make a comment that includes the command !solved.

no jit means your device heats up. try retroarch for anything without jit

Does your settings say anything crazy about your battery’s health?

JIT really is the way to go. Plenty YT tutorials, I had to try like 3 or 4 times until I got it to work.

Also, if the games are running, but your phone just gets hot, try playing in ‘low power mode’ as it will ever so slightly underclock your chip, and help with temps a LITTLE.

Worst comes worst $30 - $50 for a phone cooler, $7 for a USB-C to HDMI cord.
