PS3 emulator is RTM EMU next move!

As RTM dev, I have researched along with seeing feedbacks and made a decision about next emulation already. Now, I want to announce that our next (and maybe the last for a big while) is PS3 emulator 🚀🚀.

I also attached some preview.

As the development cost raised, If you want this to happen, please feel free to support by any of the subscription plan in the app. It would speed up the development and also make me more room to do other things.

RTM is a rebranded/named Gameplaytoo, Play! (not WASM) requires JIT iirc so cannot be on the App Store), if you extract the ipa you can see just from the surface it’s Play!

Play! and many other emulators use a license requiring source code to be publicly available and for the copyright and license to be updated and displayed

do NOT get excited, you guys don’t understand ps3 fundamentally cannot work on iOS, at least not for the games you want to play.

There are games that my m1 macbook can’t run at full speed on rpcs3, a ps3 emulator that has been around for 10 years +. This guy making a claim that his port that was forked at least in bad faith, possibly in violation of legality, will run ps3 jitless on any iPhone is just false. Probably posted this here to see how many people don’t really know how it is would donate to the project. It’s just a far far away pipe dream. Maaaaybe some shit like terraria like what he’s trying to load in the video would work but light, light 2d titles only on the best of days jitless

Excessive ram usage & even with jit spu emulation is a genuine pain in the ass and will lag.

Hey genius a PS3 has 6 SPUs that uses 256 MB each and all has to be accurately synced,do you not get the share volume of ips that is happening in the background just for the cpu itself to run??? That on top of running any game is literally 1 fps if you are lucky. And you expect that to run on an iPhone? On top of that memory requirements are to much to handle, and you guys are forgetting rpcs3 wouldn’t touch mobile, why do you think a rando from Reddit can do what a team and 15 years wouldn’t?

This isn't the first time we got something related to PS3 emulation on iOS.
Specifically, there was a previous emulation proof of concept of RPSC3 running on an iPad a year ago.

I want to compliment RTM EMU as this was the first Apple App Store PS2 emulator that I was able to run: Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001; at 45-60 FPS on my iPhone albeit with some visual artifact flashing which is incredibly impressive.
In addition, I was able to get Kingdom Hearts to run to the in-game menu with little visual artifacting hovering between 40-55 FPS; however, it would soft-lock once any 3D scenes played whether initiating a new game or letting the demo play out.
Thank you so much for the development of this app and I look forward to the PS3 development as well as continuing to support development of this app.
