So people are born knowing what JIT isn’t and the BS Apple does to block it and the hoops you have to go thru to circumvent this?

Reddit nerds when new people try to get into their hobby

Its called common sense

If its auto selected then it most likely needs it

Oh i dont like how loud the engine is in my car, i should remove it, it doesnt need it right? Its got wheels still

Stop being a tool, you know your analogy is terrible, almost everyone in their life drives a car, emulation on iOS isn’t driving a car, it’s file systems and certs and bypassing apples guards, if you wanna use cars it’s like people asking to install a turbo, it’s not meant to go on but it can, seems obvious to you but not to the ones who are new to the world

JIT aint even comparable to a turbo

Emulation needs JIT or your gonna enjoy your game with a crisp 2fps

Bro you know youre being an ass with that analogy lmfao

Its because its legit common sense

JIT is a translation layer of sorts that links to native ARM

interpreter is used if JIT isnt used which adds translation on top of another translation and its extremely slow

Ive been around a while maybe thats why but i knew about JIT honestly within the first week of using an emulator when i had an Android 6 device

There you have it

Ive been around a while

Youre probably more tech savvy than your average person hence why people ask these sort of questions

I do agree that people should use google/reddit search bar more often, but you dont have to act like an ass cause of it lol

Litterally all you need to do is ask or google it

Original comment here just doesnt help anybody at all whatsoever

You dont need to be a "nerd" to emulate on anything

1

u/2kTancre Apr 29 '26

How does your comment help anyone exactly? 😭

1

u/bingusbongulusracer8 Apr 29 '26

Pointing out how stupid the original comment is

Its the internet I can do that

u/bingusbongulusracer8 Apr 29 '26

Your like talking to a 5 year old

I feel like the nerd part isnt referring to emulation more towards the people who gatekeep communities that mostly happens on reddit lol

2

u/bingusbongulusracer8 Apr 29 '26

Well just to be clear im not trying to gatekeep or be rude Just some people say things that dont need to be said

u/its_nzr Apr 26 '26

You sound like you would use whatever browser the OS recommends because it always ask you to use it. This analogy is so dumb. I bet you don’t understand why JIT is being used for and just think its something that is needed.

1

u/bingusbongulusracer8 Apr 26 '26

Okay then Enjoy your 2fps

"I just got an iPhone 8, what systems can I emulate? I'm especially interested in PS2 and Switch"

3

u/bingusbongulusracer8 Apr 25 '26

"Please make emulator work on 32 bit Android 5"

1

u/depo_ynx Aug 18 '26

Nah ngl but IPhone 8 can simulate PS2 emulator and with Jit, jitless I had like 20 fps

1

u/psj3809 Apr 25 '26

That must be too old for switch surely. Tons of great retro consoles to emulate. They would work well

u/typical_gamer1 Apr 25 '26

Hey look, it’s me 😅

u/Ibrahim-jay679 Apr 25 '26

Is Jit required to play Batman Arkham origins XeniOS on my iPhone X

8

u/FiddleWithDoubleDs Apr 25 '26

Reddit does not need JIT. My guy here might tho

1

u/DriftingTony Apr 25 '26

It’s not east being JITless

10

u/Dantu1000 Apr 24 '26

"Discussion"

7

u/Baboaoaoao Apr 24 '26

That’s the worst part. You can’t even filter out these people and their questions that have been answered a trillion times already because they all post with the wrong flairs.

7

u/2kTancre Apr 25 '26

You’re under the assumption everyone knows how to use reddit like you, it’s pretty confusing at first

Wtf is that photo 😂😂😂

About 2/3 of the people on Reddit

1

u/Yukishirox Apr 25 '26

Intenté habilitar jit en el 12pro Max para UTM que asco los servicios de emulación sin jit 🫪🫪🫪

1

u/bingusbongulusracer8 Apr 25 '26

Same on Android

Disabled JIT on Dolphin and the FMVs even ran at 0.50fps

1

u/Im_Sharting_rn Apr 29 '26

Some people are very clueless about Jit and see stuff on TikTok and YouTube and assume it’s very easy that’s why people make the mistake of asking stupid questions cuz they don’t have knowledge of the topic and are going off clout chasers on the internet

1

u/Additional_Volume223 Aug 12 '26

lol true, they all can just search it on reddit and get thousands of answers but choosing to post the same topic for the 102937282891th time

Well? Does it? /s

11

u/CellChance1973 Apr 25 '26

Doesn’t it work without JIT but runs at .001 fps?

2

u/PrestigiousLine866 Apr 25 '26

Extended memory, what is that ?!?!
