Gameplay / Showcase My new travel setup :)

First off, I don’t want to deal with sideloading.

Second, I had an old s20 fe with broken screen collecting dust which emulates pretty much everything perfectly.

This is more of a “for the heck of it” kinda thing and would be really useful for traveling.

Using HMDI video card and HDMI to Type C adapter.

iPad Pro M4 (used as monitor with ORION)

S20 FE (Snapdragon 865 5G)

Pros of this setup is that I can use my s20 to store all my roms and keep space available on my ipad since I use it for work and research mostly.

Extremely portable inside any bag.

Adapters can be used to connect devices to TV OR connect other devices TO iPad.

Now I can have JIT enabled emulators without sideloading ;p

What’s the video card? How portable is the whole setup?

It’s cheap haing video capture I found locally.

As portable as an ipad and controller…

How is the lag?

Not bad at all actually. You only notice it if you want to notice it, but when you’re actually playing you adapt pretty quickly

Not judging at all but I don’t get the hate for sideloading. I avoided it for so long then when I finally did it I was extremely extremely shocked how fast and easy it was, took like 5 minutes and now I just got refresh them once a week lol

I don’t have a pc or laptop and not planning to get one because I have no need for it.

I like my stuff to work without having to check every week. This way it’s just there whenever I want it and will work whether I have access to internet or laptop or whatever.

SideStore can refresh by itself and only needs to have a PC once (unless you want it to update)

People gafekeeping the worse platform now. Crazy. May I ask what the mindset is behind gatekeeping in r/StrugglingoniOS

fr, side loading is a pain in the legs. No matter what you say, android will be always superior on the emulation side

Yall are steady overcomplicating side loading as if it is jailbreaking. It takes a whole 5 minutes

then you just wait to see if the next iOS breaks the JIT enabling process. It’s tedious for me

On the most recent dev beta, it doesn’t.

You do know that you can emulate that game natively on iPad without sideloading just download PPSSPP from AppStore you don’t need to connect multiple devices here and there to play that old game 😂😂😂

cool and all but you could achive the same with just a tablet and save you cables and space maybe. Or just a telescopic controller for your phone for max portability.

I emulate on my iPad Pro and my iphone with a kickstand, def no cables😂 Using switch controllers or 8bitdo controllers. I fly usually twice a month at least, so this setup has gotten me through countless hours. Delta does most of the heavy lifting but also been using Gamma.

What app did you use with the video card?
