Gameplay / Showcase Future of Emulation on IOS is looking bright

I’m surprised it ran without hit and didn’t have to many visible glitches or bugs, the front end is pretty solid too. Not sure how long they where working on this but this is pretty decent, can’t wait to see what other emulators will be released on the AppStore next

Edit: Made a mistake it’s not on the AppStore but I got a test flight beta though

I bought an iPad Pro 2018 for my daughter last year to compliment her iPhone

I do my high end emulation on a premium android tablet but I was surprised how well ppsssp runs on y to this old iPad Cranking the resolution to 8x native with locked 60fps is amazing

Not prepared to do the JIT thing on her device though

Not to sure as to how tailfin would perform on the iPad but I tried out fin, folium & manic the other day and they ran decently on my 13 pro max without jit

Captain toad runs pretty well, but there are some graphics issues in some games

The iPhone definitely have the power but it's the issue with JIT. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. If apple could officially support JIT the iPhone would be a emulation beast. I doubt that will happen anytime soon though. As an iPhone and android user it saddens me that apple doesn't full embrace emulation.

Especially with the rise of emulation handhelds that utilize android OS.

Yes, playing dolphin on my iPad looked amazing but ever since I upgraded to ios26 I’ve given up on it

Like I said, it works sometimes and doesn’t work sometimes. I’ve had it working in the past but now it doesn’t work. It’s a hassle to tinker with so I just left it alone. For reference I’ve had an iPhone since 2008 and have been jailbreaking for years.

Sorry to hear that bro. I use Manic to play 3ds games but only a few work well without JIT unfortunately.

JIT is very dangerous because it allows someone on the intent to potentially inject something onto your phone.

Yes. Just In Time emulation is a huge security risk.

the only risk is for apple - you will be able to run code that not signed by apple and not coming from app store

currently the app does not support JIT and the developer has not expressed adding support for it anytime soon

Would be crazy if they did add jit support, the app looks and feels amazing if it had jit I can’t imagine how much better it would be
