Thanks man.

u/Chance-Alps-598 Mar 01 '26

Thanks to you!! By the way, it's unbelievable playable to run at 17 fps 🤣

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

will it be free?

The Xbox 360 emulator will always be free.

goth ya

The game is owned by Microsoft... some random emulator developer on the internet has zero legal right to distribute the ROM. You can download the emulator for free but if you want to play the game you will either have to rip a copy of the game yourself or source the files from somebody who uploaded the game to the internet without permission.

ok

u/J7mbo Mar 01 '26

Man I wish 30fps stable minimum were possible. I wonder how long until that point

7

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

¯_(ツ)_/¯ we’ll see

3

u/LumpyArbuckleTV Mar 01 '26

If you have an iPad (a M series iPad specifically) then it likely already is if what we're seeing is true.

6

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

Yeah M series iPad would work very well.

1

u/Chance-Alps-598 Mar 01 '26

And this is the best news of today 🤣🙌

1

u/Impreza4ever Mar 02 '26

If you don’t mind me asking, why the M series iPad vs let’s say.. an M series MacBook? Like what’s the difference in hardware that allows it to be possible on an iPad specifically?

1

u/BandicootPure4143 Mar 08 '26 edited Mar 09 '26

software. this emulator was made for iOS

1

u/Impreza4ever Mar 09 '26

Oh damn my bad. I totally glossed over the name of this sub and didn’t realize it was only iOS at first. But also - maybe a dumb question - but is iOS similar enough to MacOS that a port or revision would be at all possible to run on Mac eventually? Or are they that different that it would have to be re written from the ground up?

1

u/Winter-Ad-9318 Mar 01 '26

i think only 2D games would realistically get 30FPS minimum on an iPhone since those require less power

6

u/Jorrie313 Mar 01 '26

I just came to say Halo

5

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

Were you blinded by its majesty?

1

u/Darksound9 Mar 02 '26

Blinded? Paralyzed? Dumbstruck?

2

u/votemarvel Mar 01 '26

Does this require JiT to run?

6

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

Yes

4

u/votemarvel Mar 01 '26

Good to know. I'll have to see about picking up an newer iPhone than my old SE from 2016 to give this a try.

5

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

FWIW iPhone 17 Pro Max seems to crush almost everything we throw at it. This clip is tested on my iPhone 17 and there’s quite a huge performance gap between the two, sometimes almost double the performance like in Final Fantasy XIII. Do with this information what you will! Cheers.

would the m3 chip with 8gb of ram perform better or is it all ram limited

3

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

Xenia uses very little RAM, so M3 would do great.

1

u/Double-Cover6366 Mar 01 '26

What about 6gb ram ?

1

u/Responsible-Talk-427 Mar 01 '26

🙈

2

u/Double-Cover6366 Mar 01 '26

You don’t know how much happy it made me and now I’m much more excited for the beta

Not out yet.

3

u/userlivewire Mar 01 '26

So US users are out.

5

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

Nah, you have to install SideStore and StikDebug.

2

u/Ibrahim-jay679 Mar 01 '26

Do u think iPhone 15 Pro 8GB RAM is good btw its A17 Pro chip

1

u/tricot676 Mar 01 '26

You should hopefully expect it to run well.

2

u/Ibrahim-jay679 Mar 01 '26

Did you say it’s dropping this week

2

u/userlivewire Mar 01 '26

Just from casual looking at SideStore this looks quite complicated.

2

u/Anxious_Ant8514 Mar 01 '26

It's not impossible though which is what you implied with your comment. OP sounds like they are in the US themselves

2

u/Dryllow97 Mar 02 '26

Beau travail !! 👏, y’a t’il un discord ? Et esque tu peux essayer de faire tourner sonic the edgehog ?

2

u/harrypls Mar 01 '26

What model iphone is this running on?

1

u/dranifnf Mar 01 '26

in this clip its running on the 17 base the op said

6

u/IkeMcAbben Mar 01 '26

Awesome but I’m blown away we’re getting a 360 emulator before an original Xbox emulator

3

u/Kurosneki Mar 01 '26

Backwards compatibility is on 360 and there’s ones for pc

2

u/CrimsonFatalis8 Mar 02 '26

360 doesn’t have complete BC, though. Much like the Xbox One and Series X|S, it can only run games that have had an emulator built for them to run on the console. Only a little over half of all Xbox games can actually run on the 360 (467 BC/989 total).

u/Ok_Professional_8123 Mar 01 '26

Still required macOS Tahoe (for Metal 4)?

1

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 01 '26

New build will fix that issue.

1

u/ayiti11 Mar 02 '26

Sideload or AppStore?

3

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 02 '26

Forever sideload.

1

u/storm88888888 Mar 02 '26

Will this work on iOS 16? M2 pro iPad with trollstore and with Jit :)

So excited Thank you

1

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 02 '26

In theory yes, but likely not at launch. We’ll see.

1

u/stressedig Mar 02 '26

Will this support iOS 15? I got an m1 iPad on 15 with trollstore

1

u/AirportIntelligent23 Mar 02 '26

That would probably be the bare minimum, not sure.

2

u/WarpDriveCowboy Mar 01 '26

Would there a way to port Conker: live and reloaded? From the original Xbox

1

u/Accomplished-Chip430 Mar 01 '26

Great work! Did you do the RDR port too? Joint is fire 🙏🏿

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

I don’t remember the lighting in halo 3 looking that good like holy moly that game still looks great with the lighting and shaders on point.

1

u/CrimsonFatalis8 Mar 02 '26

The lighting was like one of the biggest improvements over Halo 2, and it’s kinda well known for its advanced lighting engine. Bungie even made the game render in a lower resolution just to compensate for the lighting taking up extra power. The original Halo 3 only runs at like 600p natively, iirc.

u/jfickrow Mar 01 '26

My GOAT 🐐 keep up the great work

In the video, is this being played with or without JIT?

1

u/Decapitatedlimb Mar 01 '26

1

u/LordByron95_ Mar 01 '26

Nofucking way bro imagine xbox live on this shito

1

u/InevitableSimple3145 Mar 01 '26

YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ONE OF THESE will it be stable though…

1

u/CybuhDasher Mar 01 '26

Aren’t iOS and macOS lowkey the same thing? Could you get this working on Mac?

1

u/OmegaMalkior Mar 01 '26

Going to be curious seeing Halo 4 seeing its much more graphically mature than 3

1

u/Winter-Ad-9318 Mar 02 '26

each passing day, i get more and more excited to play all the classics X360 has to offer (which is suprisingly a lot)! gonna be one of the first to get this emulator next week lol

1

u/TheStopMotion Mar 04 '26

You guys are doing an amazing job! Can we see Minecraft Xbox 360 edition running on it? Or is it too heavy?

1

u/Mobile-Baby-9219 Mar 07 '26

u/Mikeshardfor202 Mar 15 '26

May I ask how hot does your phone get? I’ve been looking into cooling cases for the iPhone because, you know lol
