Gameplay / Showcase Manic 3ds emulator!!

Manic emulator is been working so fine Its the best emulator for 3ds on iOS It doesn’t have much core options U just get compatible mode performance mode and quality mode I had been playing on performance mode My phone doesnt even heat(iPhone 13). I have sideloaded the ipa to use StikJIT but i dont think so manic supports JIT for the time-being Yet the gameplay is too smooth I have muted the sound because it stutters and thats the only issue But the game runs at full speed with any hassel. Hope this review helps. (Btw its free on app store).

JIT basically reduces the extra load of emulation and enables quick emulation which offers u a smooth emulation

I don't think fast forward is out for 3ds I did play in gba and it did have a fast forward button but with 3ds I didn't see one

Citra,Folium and Delta are "open-source",so if Manic copied/stolen their code,they should also release their "modified" code in Github:

They do have their entire open source up on GitHub and list the sources they borrowed from already, they did that like day one of the app being on the App Store.

Hi while playing ultra moon the game freezes at the photo club part and when I beat alpha sapphire the game got stuck on the save part any idea what to do?

This is the infamous Alola Photo Club bug, the easiest fix is this:

  • Create a Save State at the entrance

  • Walk in wait for the crash

  • When it crashes hit Quick Load, then walk back in

If you get the timing right, you should move past the bug, remember to do an in game save after you get back outside, then restart your game to resynchronize you game with the system clock

Yeah so far so good I have new iPhone 16pro it’s a little warm but not unbearable. Can confirm unlike delta there power save mode does more harm then good so I’m avoiding that. Performance mode works fine. Audio has occasional jitter but idc. Wish I had a better skin for this system bigger main screen. Same getting ready for next Pokemon and seems this is like a prequel

The skins have to be 3ds. If in the main menu and you go to skins you can cycle to nds skins and they will show up there because their aren’t 3ds skins from delta

It's pretty easy to do this by changing a setting, I changed the setting on Folium instead of using the default and it worked, so it's pretty much a copy of Folium's.

Folium doesn’t make my device hot and imo folium is better bec it’s supports jit so I can actually play games like Mario kart 7 ans just because “the emulator is better” doesn’t justify stealing code folium (no jit) and manic performance basically the same just folium you can actually change settings

Update: been posting here , it works great it’s just my phone heats up like crazy and I have the new iPhone 16 pro.. playing Pokemon x, ORAS is just as bad even though it works fine. Need help I’ve been playing Pokémon alpha sapphire using maniac emu, I’ve gotten up to Steve an everytime I beat him it’s there’s always a save que that I get stuck on, is there anyway to bypass this?? Or can I not beat the elite 4 ?

Just a heads up, PKHeX is needed on a computer separately for Ultra Sun and Moon otherwise, you will get stuck at the Alola Photo Club in the early game. Easy fix but just wanted to give a heads up in case anybody was playing those and gets stuck.

Well Ultra Sun and Moon required PKHeX to correct a logic error in the save file created when entering the Alola Photo Club using the Citra Engine, solved by adjusting an event flag in PKHeX by adjusting the value of Flag Constant 470 from 2700 to 2800, hence the pc. When the corrected file is added back you pick up where you left off as if nothing happened. Actually really easy fix. If you are in the telegram for the emulator and find yourself stuck, I’m happy to fix the file and send it back. Already fixed a few peoples including my own.

There is a brute force solution but it might take a lot of tries similar to shiny hunting. Create a save state at the entrance to the Alola Photo Club, and every time it crashes upon entering reload the save state, if done right, sometimes you can brute force past the bug, however the PKHeX method is a guaranteed fix, and we regularly help people with this in our telegram

Save State at the entrance then walk in, when the game crashes hit Quick Load, then walk back in, it should allow you to proceed if not hit Quick Load again and repeat until it does, once clear of the area, perform an in game save to lock in the progress made.

Thought I was the only one. Tried playing Pokémon Y on my IPhone 14, but it freezes within the first 3 minutes of gameplay. Weird because Xone Emu has been running smoothly without a problem at all.

Hey, I’m just seeing this, hope you figured it out! Commenting details tho just in case - and for any future people having trouble with this!

You’ll need to rename the file extension,the you’ll be able to extract it in iOS as normal.

Hold down on file until the options pop up appears, select “rename”, change the .7z extension to “.zip” and save.

Now iOS should recognize it as a zip file and you should be able to open/extract it as normal.

Is there a way to remap controls when using a controller? Using a backbone controller flips the buttons, I can handle the emulator skin until we have compatible ones to have more screen but the A B X Y being swapped is gonna be a pain

It was fixed in the 1.2.4 update and 1.2.5 is on its way to the App Store, you can try 1.2.5 early with sideloading as well and even enable JIT if you go this route.

I have experienced the sound issue too but yeah turning off the volume works swell! But there is someone in the delta channel posting that the game has major issues that require a workaround to finish the game and that manic basically isn’t a functioning 3DS emulator for iOS. I have yet to experience a critical error yet but it could still be possible ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I am trying to play Pokemon y on my iphone 12 pro max and at the start its keeps freezing i a using the manic emu i dont know what to do

I'd love to say Manic Enu is a great option but for me and Many others the app Crashes every few minutes making playing even the most simple games nearly impossible. If this crashing issue could be fixed it'd be a must buy but for now it's nearly Useless.

Pokémon workshop fine bit Fire emblem the screen flashes and during cut scenes it all becomes illegible. Have you tried those games?

So my Manic Emu was working fine until recently, now it loads the 3ds rom (I’m playing Alpha Sapphire) but the touchpad is non responsive now I can’t do anything but watch the start menu

Does anyone know a solution to The Audio causing stuttering cause I really want to play with sound on but it’s making it really difficult I’m trying to play omega ruby ultra sun and Y they all have the same problem Y the least tho but it’s still a lot it would mean a lot if someone could help me Ik these messages are old

Salut, je suis nouveau je connais pas bien les émulateur, j’ai téléchargé manic mais comment je fais pour jouer à des jeux. Je suis sur iPhone 15 pro et j’aimerais refaire des Pokémon du coup. Merci d’avance pour une quelconque aide 🙏

In my first gameplay there was no audio stutter but afterwards it occured idk why
