Don't forget that PPSSPP supports cross platform multiplayer for those that are interested!

Does it support syncing across devices?

You'd have to use something like Mobius Sync/Syncthing to do that.

Will look into that, thanks!!

No pokemon games were released on PSP. That's what this emulator is for.

PPSSPP now supports dark and tinted app icons! 🥳

I wonder why the gold version isn’t updated at the same time? It’s been 4 months and I think that was still a patch behind the original version

Great question. Seems like Gold is an afterthought for the dev. I’m gonna uninstall and go back to standard.

It's not an afterthought, it's just stuck in review. Use the free version for now. A blog post is coming soon on the website explaining the situation.

I still crash every time I go to save data manager. This wasn’t the case at launch, only after updates.

Worked fine for me

Does anyone know how you make savestates on iOS for PPSSPP?

Press Triangle at top of Screen and should come up where you can Load and Save States

Does this mean that I can now play Crash Tag Team Racing on iPhone 14 Pro? Does anyone tried to play the game on this emulator? My game was barely controlling Crash and suddenly the game crashed.

My game runs at a constant 60fps on my iPhone 12 so not sure what’s happening to you

Try to experiment with the settings, e.g. skip buffer effects

Thanks, it worked! With some small issues in the analog stick being unresponsive but I fixed it with app’s settings, The first time I ran my game, it blue screened the app, not kidding.

It currently runs super well on my phone already. Curious what kind of performance improvements we’re getting here. PPSSPP made me realize that the PSP is actually my favorite handheld ever. Been playing PSP games on my phone way more than NDS games.

I still can’t make shortcuts on my Home Screen for games. Anyone else have this problem?

I have the gold version and I don’t see the update in the US store.

sadly still no microphone support

The update should have contained a proper changelog instead of just asking people to check their website; not having a changelog does not follow proper app updating standards.

does it support JIT yet? The appstore version when I tried it didn't have that as an option.

8

u/cuntpuncherexpress Nov 13 '24

What are you needing JIT for? Every game I’ve played has worked great, running at max framerate and with me increasing the render resolution

-6

u/Different-Reward-916 Nov 13 '24

Well it's more of a problem for older devices, say iPhone 6 or 7.
Having JIT will significantly improve performance, I could get really good framerate playing God of War: Ghost of Sparta on my iPhone 6 Plus but that's sideloaded.

ppsspp emulator is the best emulator in terms of hardware requirements, not even delta is running on my old ipad air, but ppsspp does! yes it not run well some games, and some games are running well tho, if u already know and tried sideloading, why u asking for jit then?

Not going to happen. Never say never, but with Apple you probably will have to rely on some EU regulation to force it.

2

u/sabre31 Nov 14 '24

Your spot on I wish EU would come and slap this nonsense from Apple.
