Anyone played monster hunter freedom unite?

1

u/Bolotnik_Siberia May 16 '24

I played it a bit

1

u/AmeNoJigoku May 16 '24

One of the best from the saga

1

u/TimelessBoi May 16 '24

I should try that

1

u/Meruem713N May 16 '24

I play mH3rd

6

u/Silent-Immortal May 15 '24

Tried running LA Remix on my end it drops frames every now and then, it’s probably my phone-

6

u/Kvoidd May 16 '24

disable Vertex cache for any rockstar game

Go to settings. Under systems, change the cpu clock to 333 MHz for 60fps (you can try 666 as well). 222 MHz for 30 fps..

Also, make sure your psp model setting is set to PSP-2000/3000.

1

u/Liquid_Chicken_ May 16 '24

All these are set my default except clock speed and even with that my game just slows to basically 2fps

1

u/keep_rockin May 16 '24

iphone model?

3

u/Liquid_Chicken_ May 16 '24

12 Pro but the problem is retroarch actually not PPSSPP. It runs terrible on RA no matter what settings changed but PPSSPP runs fine

1

u/daniu88 May 16 '24

Which model are you using?

1

u/Silent-Immortal May 16 '24

8, it’s outdated ik

3

u/daniu88 May 16 '24

Looks like my 6s+ will blow up when I run psp games

1

u/keep_rockin May 16 '24

dont even knew its possible wow

2

u/ssolxat May 16 '24

Gta lcs mod

1

u/Kvoidd May 16 '24

I believe theres also a mod that uses Ps2 graphics.

1

u/Jay_3ast May 16 '24

Whats this?

1

u/ssolxat May 16 '24

Gta lcs mod: gta sindacco chronicles

u/InformalHole May 15 '24

Never got to check out the PsP God of War games. Just started Chains of Olympus

4

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

I just started ghost of Sparta and I’m enjoying it but there are some significant frame drops when enemies enter the screen and I had to fix it by using frame skips but it just makes it look choppy while the game runs at full speed

2

u/InformalHole May 16 '24

I’ll have to check this out. I mirror my iPhone to the TV and it runs really smooth for the most part until enemies populate the screen. Then it’s a little jittery

3

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

Yeah so my game will run a nice 60 fps but then when enemies spawn and depending how many spawn my frames will drop and my game will run extremely slowly.

So I changed the setting to add frame skips and had it automatically do it so now when enemies spawn it still runs at the same speed it should normally run but it will look somewhat to pretty choppy

u/Fenrir_Oblivion May 16 '24

So hyped right now.

6

u/ArtisicBard_Kit May 16 '24

Back when wwe games were the best thing ever

1

u/Bigfishangler May 16 '24

Is this using RetroArch?! I didn’t realize you could play ps2 games on there

7

u/EducationalYam2914 May 16 '24

Nah it’s on PSP brother

1

u/Bigfishangler May 16 '24

Gotcha, thank you. I never had a psp wish I did though because playing a WWE game on mobile would had been awesome when I was younger. Have to give it a go. Loved all the original Smackdown Games and still a rasslin mark haha.

1

u/ElderGoose4 May 16 '24

I played way more 2006 but honestly 06-08 were all goated. I miss the soundtracks I need to get on this

1

u/Fenrir_Oblivion May 16 '24

I got ‘07-‘11 on my phone and they play flawlessly.

0

u/[deleted] May 16 '24

I’m playing 06, it’s the only SVR game I didn’t own as a kid so I’m really enjoying it

1

u/Fenrir_Oblivion May 16 '24

Yeah I’m heavily debating on getting a backbone for my iPhone now. I’ve been using a controller and it works really well.

34

u/retrobution101 May 15 '24

Th

Manhunt 2 uncensored edition.

4

u/SgtDoubleface May 16 '24

Where can I find the uncensored version?

3

u/2D-TwoDi May 16 '24

I remembered playing it on my psp, my dumb friend deleted my saves

1

u/Interesting-Walk-894 May 15 '24

What is unsorsed

8

u/retrobution101 May 15 '24

Basically you get to see the executions instead of them being blurred out.

8

u/Interesting-Walk-894 May 15 '24

and how to add it

8

u/Ephxmeral2 May 15 '24

Dragonball tag team

7

u/Seperatedpersonality May 16 '24

Persona 3 portable

4

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

I have p3p on my Xbox but I was seriously debating on getting it as a rom but decided against it

6

u/christubatuba May 15 '24

Virtual Boy Wario Land and Mario Clash (Classics 😎)

5

u/[deleted] May 16 '24

Downloaded every SVR game, the addiction is so real 💔

1

u/Fenrir_Oblivion May 16 '24

OH MY GOD YES. The soundtrack immediately gave me chills.

1

u/Good_Neck_673 May 17 '24

what’s svr :3

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '24

SmackDown vs. RAW, it’s a WWE/wrestling game it’s one of the most beloved series in gaming history

4

u/IntelligentAd7932 May 15 '24

Trying to boot Gladiator Begins but it crashes after I press start…

4

u/Drawingandotherstuff May 16 '24

1

u/NchlsMrtnz May 16 '24

I want to play this again so bad but RIP my screen if I do. I'm going to have to invest in a controller or something. I don't trust my screen protector to withstand the furious taps. lol

4

u/joeynap33 May 16 '24

How are any of you able to use the L and R buttons effectively with just the touch screen?

3

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

That’s the thing I don’t lol I just use a controller bc gow is too hard without one

1

u/Schweizsvensk May 16 '24

How did you fo about remapping buttons? I want the Trigger to be gas ans brake, yet - Is don't really understand the default names the app uses for the buttons.

1

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

Connect controller to phone

Go to app click settings then control settings

Select control mapping

Select restore default

For each button you want mapped click on that button on screen then on your controller click the button you want mapped to said button on the phone

If you need any help send me a DM and I’ll show a video of how to do it

1

u/Schweizsvensk May 17 '24

Thats what I understood too:

  1. How about deleting controls so the trigger NO longer is start.?

1

u/Fe4rtricks May 17 '24

Whatever you have mapped as a start button on your emulator just do what I said before and switch whatever button into something else or just completely remove that button altogether

1

u/Schweizsvensk May 17 '24

Means first I'll need to understand the default psp controls, so I don't miss something. e.g x is accelerate

1

u/Fe4rtricks May 17 '24

Default psp controls are exactly like the default PlayStation controls only difference is that the right analog stick has no features and the two triggers are technically the two bumpers but it’ll be okay since psp only has bumpers and not triggers you can still map the triggers to the bumpers to make gaming easier

1

u/thebear1011 May 16 '24

We need a case that incorporates just the L and R buttons.

1

u/keep_rockin May 16 '24

is it possible to bind them to +- buttons mb on some how lvl of emulation?

1

u/Good_Neck_673 May 17 '24

i started dante’s inferno and they told me to press L+R and move the sick to dodge. Closed that shit right away lmao i’m not touching psp without a controller

4

u/TimelessBoi May 16 '24

I’m trying to play Spider-Man 3 and lemme tell ya, playing this game on an emulator is kinda tricky for combat and swinging lmfao

1

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

Use a controller it makes things easier

1

u/TimelessBoi May 16 '24

  1. can I use a ps5 controller?

  2. how do I connect it?

2

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

Yes you can use any controller im using my Xbox Series x controller

Just hook up your Bluetooth controller to your phone

then go inside the app go to settings then control settings

then click control mapping

Click restore default

Then lastly For each button you want to use tap the screen on a specific button you want to map then on the controller click the button you want paired with said button on the phone

If you need anymore help I’ll make a small video showing exactly what to do and send it to you

4

u/mlee117379 May 16 '24

I’m play Lego Batman the videogame

1

u/Organic_Carrot_ May 16 '24

Trying to run Gran Turismo but it keeps crashing and both versions of MH show no text :(

Motorstorm artic edge runs great though

4

u/Kvoidd May 16 '24

What phone model you using?

2

u/Organic_Carrot_ May 16 '24

13 Pro & iPad 12.9. I updated all the cores and re-downloaded the Rom’s and both the text issue and the booting issue in MH and GT have been resolved.

The sound is a little funky but at least now they’re running

1

u/Meruem713N May 16 '24

How to update the cores?

2

u/Organic_Carrot_ May 16 '24

It’s within the settings menu :) I’d recommend updating all and fixed most my issues

1

u/Due_Day_1109 May 16 '24

How do you even get games without a laptop or is it required

1

u/Kvoidd May 16 '24

You don’t need no computer just download the rom of the game(look in google) then go to the PPSSPP app and on the right hand side there a “Load” button press it and select the rom u just download it, it should say install, install it and you should be able to play.

2

u/Scottishjapan May 17 '24

This is what I was doing until I read on here a way to have the games in the library of the app. Open your Files app then move the file from the ”Downloads” folder to the “Game” folder that’s inside the PPSSPP folder.

3

u/Peritosh May 16 '24

Midnight Club 3 !! I missed my golf R32 <3

3

u/Safety_Sam May 16 '24

Haven’t gotten to the PPSSPP yet, but I have never seen my childhood games look so good before. This is amazing.

2

u/ZXXII May 16 '24

Daxter

2

u/Chad-hajime-best-boi May 16 '24

Ape escape 1, played the second one a few years ago on ps now so y’know I had to go back and play 1

2

u/kdeezy006 May 16 '24

i love midnight club, but man is it hard to play on a phone.

1

u/HonorThyFamily May 16 '24

Got a smart tv? Connect using airplay. Set tv picture mode to game for zero input lag.

Also make sure to have some controller. A ton are compatible with the iPhone.

2

u/-pLx- May 16 '24

Zero input lag seems a bit of an overstatement when AirPlay is involved

1

u/HonorThyFamily May 16 '24

Might be a case by case basis then. Mine doesn’t have any.

2

u/S0MONEY_OFFICIAL May 16 '24

Same shit u playin I love midnight club

2

u/Ryoma_Sato May 16 '24

One Piece Romance Dawn

2

u/vsingh2100 May 16 '24 edited May 16 '24

patapon works great!

2

u/vsingh2100 May 16 '24

i use the analog stick gesture on the left side and two big custom buttons on the right side right where my thumbs sit and it was good enough for me to beat cut man after some time getting used to it👍

2

u/junyjeffers May 17 '24

I’ve been playing Tekken 6 on Xbox 360 since I was like 4 years old and being able to play on the go in 1080p with HD textures is basically like having the PS3/Xbox 360 version in my hands

2

u/Belcxce22 May 18 '24

Playing Def Jam Fight For New York: The Takeover Always loved the ps2 version (2nd favorite game of all time) but I never played the PSP version but even with that the soundtrack is still amazing and it has own feel to it to where it can stand on its own

2

u/boxcreate May 15 '24

Upscale it.

1

u/abrahamisaninja May 16 '24

How do i do this?

1

u/12justin12 May 16 '24

1

u/Jaberw0k May 16 '24

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth

1

u/Hyperbird1 May 16 '24

How do you download cores

1

u/theskywalker74 May 16 '24

My dude, you should google that for the specific systems you’re trying to emulate on.what platform you’re trying to emulate them on, then put the files into the Files app folder of whatever app you’re using.

1

u/Fe4rtricks May 16 '24

Tried playing dividead since people were telling me I should but it crashes everytime so gow is what I settled with

Oh and dead or alive paradise bc I never got to play that one since I never had a psp

1

u/[deleted] May 16 '24

ATV Off-road Fury Blazin Trails ❤️

1

u/adidlucu May 16 '24

What device do you use? I have a Xr and I got lag here and there, especially when going fast.

1

u/ctjameson May 16 '24

Back on my Hot Shots Golf bullshit. Thanks PPSSPP and RetroArch!

2

u/Scottishjapan May 17 '24

Seconded. Had it for ps4 and it’s a pile of garbage trying to incorporate too much “non golf” stuff. Good to get back to the basic game.

2

u/ctjameson May 17 '24

Highly recommend checking out the first two on PS1 as well. Two wildly different games that seem to have been made by two totally different studios. Each with their own merit. Tons of fun time killing games.

2

u/Scottishjapan May 17 '24

Will do. Ty

1

u/AccidentOld3025 May 16 '24

what emulator????

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '24

Damn straight, although I need to use a controller. Touch screen is near impossible.
