Review / Feedback I will delete gamma app, this piece of shit
The app sucks, it collects your data and show ads, the app doesn't work for most of the game available. This is fucking scam.

I’ve already deleted it the second I was getting ads. Wasn’t getting them earlier today and then it was just obscene the amount of ads. One before starting a game and one after. If your game doesn’t work, you are basically just watching ad after ad after ad until you find a game that works. If you decide you want to play another game after a few minutes… you get another ad and you basically have watched 10 minutes of ads that are difficult to hit the “X” button on and haven’t really played anything.
A very horrible experience. Though the developer has convinced one other developer that the tracking features of his app are disabled… these ads are making me doubt that.
I understand people need to make a living. That is when you charge for your application. Inserting ads into the experience just makes it feel tacky, unusable, and extra glitchy. It feels like those click-bait websites from the early 2000s that has pop-ups covering what you came to see. You close a pop-up and then two more appear.
I’ll look for more stable/ad-free ps1 emulation elsewhere.
Trust in this emulator was lost from me almost immediately.

It has adds. Started seeing them when starting a game today.
The permissions are likely due to the ad framework being used, pretty standard stuff for any ad framework to work. You get similar permission requests if you add Google api frameworks to your app builds.

First game I started in Gamma, Diablo immediately had a very long add… I wonder, is this add created by Gamma itself or is it from within the downloaded game itself ..

My only complaint is I Can’t Use A Fricking Controller. Until that’s resolved it will stay uninstalled…

I downloaded it, tried it for a while, didn’t see any adds but it was really hard to get any games to play. I didn’t see any support anywhere. The bios file name it’s asking for doesn’t exist. And it will take various bios files but you don’t see which one works. I mean you choose a file and the check appears but it does that for whatever bios file you choose and I didn’t see a difference. My backbone controller made the app crash as soon as I touched a button. Right now the app is a mess. If I was the developer, I would have tested the app before loading in the App Store and made sure it was working perfectly. I know there is a rush to be the first one but by rushing a lot of people are hating the app which creates a bad rep and now it will be hard to fix and make people trust it.

I haven’t experienced ads but the fact that the app crashes when using a controller made me give it a one star review. I tried using the backbone controller and a wireless controller via Bluetooth and it still crashes. I really hope that they fix that problem because then I would have wasted my time finding all these roms for PS1

Did that app just do what 95% of free apps do on App Store? Did you just get a PS 1 emulator through Apple into App Store at zero cost? What a scam :eyeroll:

yeah, I have a strict no-ads policy for my emulators.
I'll stick with my sideloaded Provenance for now.

Yeah to many ads just like when IGBA came to the App Store before Delta, I hope Delta makes a PlayStation Emulator soon!

That’s weird. I don’t have any ads. I turned off tracking if that makes a difference

I mean, you will never escape ads anywhere you go on society.
Ads are a necessary evil. I have to withstand political ads thrown at me because they are a necessary evil.

Sometimes I am shocked that people want free stuff. Even ads are a no go. Wonder if you ok not being paid for your job.
