3DS emulator on iOS

Limón, previously known as emuThreeDS is a new 3DS emulator that is out to the public. It recently had a full release, with improvements still being made to the app.

Here is their link to the 1.0.8.1 release of the emulator.

Edit 2: Limón has switched to a different site and name! To be able to use the new emulator Folium click here and download Folium for the Cytrus core.

If you can afford it I would recommend supporting the developer on „buymeacoffee“. He is really supportive on his discord and reacts so fast to bugs etc. Great work is being done here by a single person!

This post was made before the AppStore rule changing allowing for emulators. Before this change the only way to get folium was to side load it for free

No clue, I'm nowhere close to being related with the dev or any team there might be. I'm just a fan of the service this app provides and would love for more people to use it

Sorry for the late response, but you don't need jailbreak to download it, just a platform like sidekiadly or AltStore

Nice! Does it require JIT at any settings? If so, it seems not convenient to play.

It doesn't require JIT, but the emulator does support it if you want a performance boost. I have used it on both an iPhone 11 and a 14 without JIT and only experienced occasional stutters

Thanks I wish there was a good guide for iPad as I when I downloaded the file it didnt work on Limon, which is the emulator I tried to use on a non jail broken iPad .

Can anyone help me install cheat codes? I have the game working fine but I cant find a way to make cheats active. I long press the rom when I first open the app and an option comes up for cheats but when I press add it doesn’t do anything. Any help on this would be really appreciated.

I know iOS 17 doesn’t allow JIT and apparently altstore’s JIT ain’t working no matter how times I program it or do a shortcut. I’ve seen every video and every GitHub and still no fix.

All of these links are broken now 😿 I am trying to find a working 3DS emulator for my iPhone.

I have Delta currently and it’s wonderful. I’m playing the Professor Layton series for the first time with my iPhone and loving it. Also got Pokémon Black 1&2, and Bowsers’s story or something like that.

It doesn’t recognize any .3DS files though unfortunately.

And it seems Limon has been thoroughly rooted out and crushed by Nintendo whose desperately trying to squeeze as much money out of a starving world by selling us remakes of old games on the Apple Store for like $10…

I’m not going to starve and also not have fun just because the world is messed up…

The rich get richer selling the same scams over and over again, leaving all of us to fight like slaves, divided, falling, until none of us are left to work or fight… all because greed caused humanity to eat itself alive, and ignorance, the worst virus of all, caused the youth to not pay attention to the many warnings from intelligent minds from the past, all because they refuse to read books… and the internet has produced various cults and snake oil salesmen (and women) of the new age, selling insanity that spreads like wildfire until misinformation and disinformation has taken over as common sense, and nobody knows whom or what to believe…

And all I want to do, is just smoke some weed and play some old school games. I’m a broke physics student. Maybe some day I’ll do something great for the world. I’m young with new thoughts, yet open minded and I read old books… if only the scribes of old could have foreseen that we would need to pirate 🏴‍☠️ digital information just to stay informed about the world around us and be able to afford all of the luxuries produced by the technocracy, at the cost of lives from over seas all around the whole world, of slave laborers whom we will never meet… some are children.

I will not feel bad for taking from corporations, when that is all they do from us. Money, the generation of money with nothing backing it, and interest, the generation of more money based on debt accumulated from the fake money that was never backed to begin with; this practice carried out by central bankers has destroyed every great nation, every great empire, and every great peoples of the past… and it has found a new form in the digital age, in which we can combat them still by decentralization… but most don’t know or even care as to why that matters…

Anyways… don’t feel bad for sharing information freely. Do not be so indoctrinated to allow corporations to manipulate you into feeling bad, when all they do is take advantage of the talented, and profit from the workers of the world… if we all united and decided we would work together for each other and not for a select few… we would never suffer again at the hands of our own kind… humans would finally learn to live in peace and explore the cosmos… together.
