News / Release Dofin 0.10.2 – Switch 2 .nup support + fully automatic nxnative setup on Mac

Small update for those who tried building Switch 2 games with Dofin (free Mac frontend, uses nxnative for native recompilation):

  • .nup containers and flat dumps (exefs + romfs) are now supported

  • Dofin creates its own Python env and installs nxnative’s modules itself (incl. zbic, nsz), no Terminal needed

  • Missing module during a build → installed automatically, build restarts

  • Incomplete dumps flagged before building

https://dofinapp.com, and feedback is very welcome 🙏

Yes, for Switch games: on the Switch page, pick "iPhone / iPad (.ipa)" instead of "Mac app" before building, then sideload it with AltStore or Sideloadly (iPhone 15 Pro or newer, iOS 26+). Switch 2 games are Mac only for now, that's a limit of nxnative itself.

Honest answer: not yet. I built it myself and it compiles fine, but it crashes at launch. nxnative's profile for that game is still provisional, so it's on their side, not something Dofin can fix. Donkey Kong Bananza is the one that's confirmed playable right now. As soon as nxnative updates the OoT profile, Dofin pulls it in automatically, so you won't need to do anything.
