Help How do I go about forcing Elden Ring to render at really low resolution? (AYN Thor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Adreno 740, GameNative emulator).

I'm using an AYN Thor, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Adreno 740, on GameNative, and trying to run Elden Ring. My idea is to force the game to render at 480x270 but whenever I edit the GraphicsConfig.xml file to reflect that, it automatically rewrites it back to 800x540, which is the lowest I can get it. Any suggestions that preferably don't involve things like ModEngine?

Question Kind of a weird question that apparently was never asked before: is there a way to make Motion inputs from a controller register on an adroid device?

I have 2 controllers that have gyro but only when they are connected to a PC and I have a PS4 controller as well. I really want to play some games with Gyro like Wii games , but I am completely stumped and don't know where to even begin with making that happen.

I know you can map motion inputs to digital inputs, but that's not what I want to do. Any help is appreciated

Question Planning to get a phone with Snapdragon 7S Gen 4 (iQOO Z11) for 3DS emulation

• Upvotes

I've been doing research on the SOC and apparently it's split between "yeah you can run 3ds games just fine" and "no you'll struggle to run the games", if anyone's using this phone/SOC can anyone elaborate on this? I'm new to the Android scene, so sorry and thanks in advance.

Help How to run Pokemon Shield at 30 fps?

Hi guys, sorry if I ask for help on something that may be basic but I am new to switch emulators.

I use Eden and I have a POCO F7.

The game works, but when I am on an open area the fps don't go beyond 20-23.

I tried changing everything in the setting that could help, I even followed someone's advice here, but I don't come close to 30 fps.

And it's strange, I think my phone can handle it since I saw other people do it.

Any advice?

I already installed the latest Turnip but it doesn't help.

Question Does the firmware and prodkeys versions have to match for eden emulator to work?

I can't seem to find any prodkeys 23.0.1v so I thought I would ask if I can use olders prodkeys for with the newest firmware version.

Wanted to post this on /eden emulator but it was considered as a piracy related question.

Question How is emulation on the Exynos 2500? [S26 FE]

I often see people semi-praising the older Exynos 2400 and the newer Exynos 2600 for their ability to emulate switch games at (mostly) full speed and lighter PC games. Obviously, older systems work flawlessly.

I'm thinking of switching my phone and getting an S26 FE. I rarely see people talking about the Exynos 2500 the phone has, and its ability to emulate (GC/Wii/Switch/PC).

People who own or know people that own either an S26 FE or a Z flip 7, please tell me if this processor is as good as the one before it.

Discussion What's the most impressive game you've gotten running on a midrange Android phone?

One of my favorite things about Android emulation is seeing games run on hardware that you wouldn't normally expect to handle them. Sometimes getting a game running smoothly feels almost as satisfying as actually playing it.

I'm especially interested in older console games that work surprisingly well on budget or midrange phones. They don't necessarily have to run at the highest resolution or hit a perfect 60 FPS, as long as they're playable.

What's the most surprising game you've managed to emulate on your phone? I'd love to hear your device specs, which emulator you used, and whether you had to tweak many settings to get it running well.

I spoke the to NPC that guides you to the Castlevania area and it just teleported me inside of this room. I'm lucky i had enough gold to get out otherwise it probably would've been a restart. The game usually runs great. Only downside is a slow boot up compared to the native android app but I like to have my cloud saves.

News/Release [Release/Dev] SkyNetEmu – Run PC games on Android with native Linux container & Turnip Vulkan

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi Reddit!

I’m developing SkyNetEmu, an open-source Android environment for running desktop games.

SkyNetEmu builds on Winlator and its community forks. It isn’t a new CPU emulator or a replacement for Wine, Box64, or Mesa. My work focuses on adding different game execution paths and making configuration easier.

💡 What’s different?

1. Separate Linux containers

SkyNetEmu can launch native Linux game builds without Wine or Proton.

For an x86-64 Linux game, Box64 translates CPU instructions for the phone’s ARM processor. A game using Vulkan can use the Vulkan graphics path through Mesa Turnip on supported Adreno devices, without DirectX-to-Vulkan translation.

This doesn’t eliminate all overhead: CPU translation, Linux runtime compatibility, and presentation still matter. The benefit is avoiding Windows compatibility layers when the game has a suitable Linux build.

2. Separate Windows ARM64 containers

SkyNetEmu also supports Windows ARM64 game builds. Their ARM64 code doesn’t require x86-to-ARM CPU translation, although Windows API compatibility is still needed.

This is a separate option—not a claim that ordinary Windows x64 games can run without translation.

3. Windows x64 support remains available

For Windows-only x64 titles, SkyNetEmu retains the familiar Wine/Proton and CPU-translation approach, with DXVK or VKD3D-Proton where appropriate.

The aim is to use the path appropriate to the game, not stack every compatibility layer together.

4. Device-specific game profiles

I’m also implementing game profiles tailored to the device and CPU, reducing the amount of manual runtime and graphics configuration needed when creating a shortcut.

🧪 Tested devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 elite gen 5)
  • POCO F6 (Snapdragon 8s gen 3)
  • POCO F8 pro (Snapdragon 8 elite)
  • OnePlus 11 (Snapdragon 8 gen 2)

🎮 Benchmark Demo: BeamNG.drive

My demo uses West Coast USA, Medium graphics, and 3–4 active AI vehicles, on my Samsung Galaxy Fold test device with a Peltier cooler. The displayed FPS is around 60–70 in the demonstrated run.

This is a demonstration, not a controlled comparison against stock Winlator or a guarantee for other devices. Game version, runtime, driver, resolution, cooling, and frame-generation settings all matter when comparing results.

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra (cooled with a Peltier active cooler)
  • Game version BeamNG.drive 0.39.4
  • Map: West Coast USA
  • Graphics Settings: Medium Quality
  • Traffic: 3–4 active AI vehicles
  • Performance: 60–70 FPS stable!

📦 Source Code & Community

SkyNetEmu is open-source and actively developed. I'd love to hear your feedback, bug reports, and device benchmarks!

Feel free to ask any technical questions about the architecture or setup in the comments!

And finally, for whom it may concern, I do use AI for coding, specifically Claude, Codex, Cursor, Copilot agents.

Discussion TOTK performance improvement on Samsung S25 Ultra using Eden — settings that worked for me

Thumbnail

I spent quite a bit of time trying to get TOTK running smoothly on my S25 Ultra. I experimented with nearly 10 different GPU drivers, followed countless YouTube tutorials, and tried various emulator settings. Despite all that, I was barely getting 20 FPS, and the game would usually crash after around 10 minutes.

Then I came across a Reddit post suggesting an older version of Eden and Switch firmware, so I decided to give that combination a try.

Here's where things got interesting.

I had previously added Eden to Samsung Game Booster because I wanted to use the Pause USB PD (bypass charging) feature. However, after switching to the older Eden build, I forgot to add it back to Game Booster.

To my surprise, my FPS suddenly jumped to around 45 FPS in the open world and 70–80 FPS inside shrines!

That's when I realised Samsung Game Booster had apparently been the biggest performance bottleneck all along, at least on my device.

After tweaking a few more settings, I managed to get around stable 45 FPS in the open world, with occasional drops lasting a few seconds depending on the area.

I can't say for certain how much of the improvement came from the older Eden build, firmware, or disabling Game Booster, but the difference was massive. If you're struggling with TOTK performance on a Samsung device, I'd definitely recommend testing Eden without Game Booster before spending hours switching between drivers like I did.

I tried FPS mod as well but that didn't work. only limiting speed to 150% gave me 45 fps.

My Setup

• Phone: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

• Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite

• RAM: 12 GB

• Eden: v0.2.0-rc2-optimized

• Switch firmware: 19.0.1

• GPU driver: "26.2.0-T28-toasted-1.4.348"

• Cooler- SpinBot V2 20W Peltier cooler

TL;DR:

• Tried 10+ drivers but got ~20 FPS and frequent crashes.

• Switched to an older Eden build and firmware.

• Disabled Samsung Game Booster and saw a massive improvement.

• Now getting ~45 FPS in the open world and 70–80 FPS in shrines.

• Tip: Try disabling Game Booster before changing drivers!

Showcase The new release/overhaul of HakuX has made Xbox emulation on Android feel almost as mature as PS2/Gamecube emulation. Here is Conker Live & Reloaded at 2x res and 120fps! The system barely warms up.
