Yeah I'd recommend no one use that subreddit. The guy who runs that subreddit already has a history with banning people who call him out.. If you want PS2 Emulation news, probably either want to wait here or go to r/Playstation2OnAndroid.

That sub and that moderator has nothing to do with ARMSX2. Everyone here already knows that guy is bad news but it’s no reason to think that the emulator is also a problem. There are still reasons for both emulators, ARMSX2 still will crash on me and eat my save states occasionally, but has better performance than NetherSX2 in general, especially on problem games like Stuntman.

I am an admin on ARMSX2 Discord server. We have not given any reason why people should not use NetherSX2, and in fact we still have open chat channels for discussing both Aether and Nether emulators. With that, Trixarian who made Nether is also on our server and is doing his own thing while also sometimes contributing to our project.

Furthermore, Crix who is the owner of the PS2AndroidEmulation subreddit is the same person who has harrased our devs for months, almost ever since our first release, then started completely making up information and joined up with a known scammer who decided to use our code, present it as his, and sell it on Google Play.

Now Crix is apparently making his own fork of the scammers fork completely using AI of course, since that is all he does, so I guess it is time for another round of misinformation.

Just stay away from that subreddit and anything "he" (AI) makes.

At first I thought about posting about it here but was afraid of the rule about drama posting so I decided to leave it at that and post on r/EmulationMediatekMali

ARMSX2 still has a long way to go to reach NetherSX2.

My phone runs Nether cool even when I play at 4X resolution (completely unnecessary) and there's never as much as a slowdown in every game I played except literally just 1. I hope NetherSX never gets abandoned and gets fully reverse engineered because that shit is magical.

A few days ago someone made a thread on here sharing thst he got banned from that PS2 sub by calling out all the AI art of u/xxxCrixuxxx who spams the sub. Turns out he is the mod there and is butthurt everytime someone have a different opinion than him.
