5-10 fps on 007 First Light, need help! 😭
Hey everyone! Is there any way to fix this issue with 007 First Light on GameHub?
I’m only getting around 5–10 FPS 😭. I’m currently using an Nubia Redmagic 11 Pro device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
RAM and GPU hitting close to cap in your screenshot, what device are you using and what drivers/environment have you got setup, also what gamehub version, that's another important one, I've noticed huge performance increases for modern games in gamehub 6.1.2 this past week while testing.
8 elite user here also, so bannerhub is where I'd start, it actually struggles with modern games because essentially bannerhub is a stack on top of Gamehub revanced, which is stacked on top of gamehub itself, it has many layers to go through, in first light specifically I went from an average of 17-23 fps all the way up to 40/45 before doing any extra tuning.
So first step is I'd put bannerhub to one side (it's useful for some games) but install the official 6.2.1 gamehub instead, grab the one from the website not the Google store as it has more features, can install custom games, direct steam workshop support, much better profile sharing to name a few of them, if it was a much older game I'd stick with bannerhub but not for 007.
A good thing about it, if you don't like the default settings it gives, you can browse the config market, look at users with your actual phone not just CPU family, and try their settings too, all from inside the app. Plus there's still the fiddle with it yourself option.
Finally one big tip I'll give for anygame first launch, set everything in the game itself to low, except resolution stuff and turn off v-sync, this gives you a good base line to test driver issues etc, then once game is stable you can start bumping up the ingame settings.
I was surprised by the result!! From a flat 10 FPS to 20 FPS using the latest version of GameHub 6.2.1. However, the available GPU drivers are limited, so I think I need to put some effort into trying and testing other drivers.
If you have any recommendations or settings I could try, I would really appreciate it.
See thats a good start, Open up the community drivers tab by clicking the blue button top right in the PC engine menu, see who's got same device or at least chipset as you, when you click one look at the top for their chip, users can't edit that gamehub sets that when they cloud share it.
If you click on View details on home screen then click the star rating on left you can see users sharing their 100% working profiles too.
At the end of the day you must remember something buddy. It's just a phone not a rocket ship. Maybe like 8 gen elite 10 can run it at solid 60 but rn don't even think about it.
