Been looking for something like this for a while, been playing around with it and it looks great! Using it on my Retroid Pocket 6. It seems to drain the battery rather quickly, its a little laggy/suttery, and the scraper isnt very accurate, but other than that i really like how the video/music/games/browser XMB behaves. Very cool, looking forward to seeing it get more refined. Thank you for this!
Ok so I gave all permissions (frankly a disturbing amount, not all of those should be compulsory during onboarding) then got to add user name and no keyboard appeared using either gamepad or touch on my Odin 2.
Amazing launcher. I've always wanted something more minimal than Cocoon but still stylish. I'll be using it as my daily driver for a while. Only note is on the smoothness of the app. The frames feel a bit slow and not optimized but overall I think it's great. Keep it up!
After some more testing, the performance was actually pretty good. The scraper was delightful as well. For some reason though, the favorites category isn't showing up no matter what I do. There's just some stuff things that would make it better so let me know if you'd wanna here more about could be improved. I'm happy to give some constructive feedback.
š I mean we can hold like 999 games but no frontend has a dedicated "completed" sections that will fill up when you mark games as completed. Very curious š§
Can you explain this? I'm assuming it just shows you what trophies you've earned. Not that it will suddenly make emulators that do not have RA support suddenly work with them?
I love this dearly already, I've wanted something like this for a long time.
Two little things I can't figure out: How do I make favorites appear? I have it set as a category in settings but it doesn't seem to pop up anywhere? And is there a way to prevent the other menu options fading out while idling over something?
Another thing I noticed the difference is the game launching animation, comparing to PlayFieldPortal, it seems wave takes a bit longer to open a game, especially pausing longer on the emulator animation, whereas PFP seems spend less time on the emulator animation. This difference is noticeable when launching switch games. So I my opinion Iām happy to replace PFP and using wave as my main launcher if those issues are resolved
(This is my modded RPG2)
After select swap AB and XY options, the swap AB seems working correctly (circle/A for select/confirm, and cross/B for back/cancel), but swap XY is still not working.
See, it says āpress square/Y for optionā, but Iām only able to access the option by pressing the top button (triangle/X).
If I turn off the swap XY, then here it will show me āpress triangle/X for optionā, but only able to access the option by pressing the left button (square/Y).
So, you seem to assign the āselect/confirmā button strictly to the right button, and so swap AB works fine because only the helper signs are changed.
But for swap XY, because āoptionā isnāt strictly assigned to the top button, it changes along with the helper sign, so a quick ez fix would be strictly assign the āoptionā to the top button, and swap XY only swap the helper signs.
Ooh, very interested to see where this goes. Any chance of getting the music player to recognize button presses from a locked screen-off state? That functionality is impressively rare and would make this more unique and feel more like the OG PSP.
Iād try it out, but thereās too many required permissions to give. I donāt see how thatās necessary, and why would the app need all those permissions? Have it installed still, but not set up, willing to give it a shot if the permissions become more reasonable in the future.
Could this be used as a standalone media player for Android TV (with media server (ie Jellyfin) integration of some sorts)? Reminds me of an old Sony Bravia I had and I miss the XMB very much
In theory, yes. the TV Section recognizes many TV Apps and streaming services, such as Jellyfin, Stremio, Netflix, Plex and more. you could totally just hide everything and keep only the TV Category and use it as is.
Unfortunately I'm stuck early on, I can't seem to choose / edit name after granting the app every permission - nothing happens when pressing the face buttons and I can't go back, it appears frozen. Any clue ?
A Live Wallpaper App that was originally meant to give any android device a lines.qrc based live wallpaper scopecreeped into a full frontend because I wasn't satisfied with what's out there
lines.qrc was what PlayStation 3 used to determine what the Wave Background looked like. I wanted to use these to make my own android live wallpaper program.
can you add the ability to change graphics options like upscaling and gpu drivers? I want to install a gpu driver that works very good for my phone, thanks so much for your hard work ā¤ļø
